‘Preparing each child for their future in an ever-changing world’

NEWSLETTER 10                                                        25th November 2016

From the Headteacher

My grateful thanks go to the PTA, parents and members of our local community that organised and supported the Christmas Craft & Gift Fair at the weekend and raised such an amazing amount of money. Your support is very much appreciated.

Our Year 6 stall raised a magnificent £124.15 and my thanks go to Sue Neal and her team of children that made the stall such a success!

We have a  busy few weeks ahead with several Christmas activities, do take a look at the ‘Dates for your Diary’ section of this newsletter to ensure you don’t miss anything!

Absences from School

If your child is absent from school please ensure that you contact the School Office (answerphone available) before 8.45am, and please be aware, in the case of illness,  you need to contact us each day that your child is absent.

Pantomime - Cinderella

I’m delighted to let you know that we have arranged for a touring theatre company to come into school on Wednesday 14th December to perform the much-loved pantomime ‘Cinderella’. This will take place in school-time between 2.00-3.00pm (Reception, Year 1, Year 2 families please note that the children may be a little late leaving that day).

From the PTA

The Christmas craft fair on Sunday raised the fantastic total of £3,393.97, including £535.17 from the refreshments (which will go directly to Let’s Get Cooking), many thanks to Edda and Paula for giving up their time.
We’d also like to thank Sara James for putting up the posters and signs, Sarah Miller for finding a great set of raffle prizes, Cath Watsham for organising the rota of helpers, and all the parents who came to help on the day, especially Aliki Pantos and Amy Jones, who spent the whole weekend in school helping us set up and run the fair - Rachel and Eve.

Christmas Card Orders

Just a reminder that if you still have your vouchers to spend online please do so as a matter of urgency.  The sooner everyone puts their orders in the sooner Schoolcardshop will send out all the items - Orders will not be despatched individually.

You should have received an email by now from Schoolcardshop with all your unique details to enable you to place your order.  If it is not in your inbox, firstly please just double check all your junk and spam folders but if not let the school office know and I will contact the company to re-send it.
