Wow. Our lives sure have changed. And most of us are now staying home because of coronavirus. We get it. Deaf middle school and high school students have very few online games and resources they can use.

Deafverse is the first ASL accessible online game. And it's excellent for fun, learning, and skill development. Deafverse was created in 2019 by an all-deaf team.

Ready to get into the game? I have five tips for you to have the best experience playing the game at home. Number one, Deafverse is for everyone. By playing Deafverse, you will learn how to advocate for yourself. Share the game with your friends and your family, so they can learn how to advocate for you too.

Number two, get a boost from your backpack. As you play the game, you will notice that you earn badges as rewards. You also unlock new videos of different deaf people talking about their real life experiences. Maybe you'll learn something new.

Number three, try out new strategies. You can print out the player strategy guide at home. It has lots of activities and scenarios to guide you in thinking about how to apply what you've learned to your life.

Number four, connect with others. There are a lot of people playing Deafverse. How do you find each other and connect? Online, use the hashtag #Deafverse. And there is now an entire Deafverse GIF library. You can send these fun GIFs to your friends.

Number five, take it easy. It's natural to become immersed in the world of Deafverse. But don't forget to take breaks from the screen and take care of yourself. You can even print out our new coloring pages to color at home.

Hey, stay home and stay in the Deafverse.
