Job Title: Ticket Sales and Dock Hand

$16-20 per hour. Part-time, Full-time, Seasonal. May to October.

Location: Operating on the Red and Assiniboine Rivers. Servicing multiple docks, sailings from The Forks Historic Port.

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Ticket Seller and Dock Hand. In this dual role, you will be responsible for selling tickets for our river boat tours and assisting with dock operations to ensure smooth embarkation and disembarkation processes for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and sell tickets for river boat tours, providing information about tour options, schedules, and pricing.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining proper documentation and records.
• Assist guests with boarding and disembarking the boats, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
• Coordinate and expedite boat docking.
• Provide assistance to passengers with special needs, including those requiring mobility aids or assistance.
• Keep the dock area clean and organized, including sweeping, trash removal, and general maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of tours and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements:

• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to communicate in French is an asset but not a requirement.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and assist passengers as needed.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as needed.
