Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests and Reports 

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made arrests and took multiple reports during the week of September 19, 2023 through September 25, 2023

 September 19, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to South Business Highway 13 for a report of stealing. Items stolen were 24 cans of Enfamil Gentlease formula, 24 cans of Enfamil Prem powder, 24 cans of Similac Neosure, 18 cans of Similac Sens Lacfree, and 10 cans of Similac Total Comfort. Investigation is ongoing.

September 19, 2023- St. Clair County deputies received a walk-in needing to file a report for fraud. Report was taken.

September 19, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to South Dixon Street in Lowry City for a report of property damage. Glass door was broken. Report was taken.

September 19, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Southeast 50 Road in Osceola for a report of property damage. Window was broken. Report was taken.

September 20, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to E Highway and A Highway for a domestic disturbance. Parties were separated.

September 21, 2023- St. Clair County deputies received a walk in at the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office regarding a stolen checkbook. Report was taken.

September 21, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to South Tower Street in Lowry City for a structure fire.  

September 22, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Southeast T Highway in Osceola in regards to an assault. Report was taken and information was transferred to Henry County where the assault took place.

September 22, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to 5th Street in Osceola for a report of an altercation in mental status. Subject went for a mental evaluation.

September 22, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to State Highway A in Lowry City for a domestic assault. Deputies arrested Joshua Simpson for a book and release pending formal charges of Domestic Assault-4th Degree-1st or 2nd Offense.

September 23, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Northeast Private Road in Osceola for a report of a dog bite. Vet documentation was provided and report was taken.

September 25, 2023-St. Clair County deputies responded to Southeast 1151 Road in Collins for a check well-being. Subjects were okay.

September 25, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Tindall Street in Lowry City for a report of property damage. A row of mailboxes was damaged. Report taken.

September 25, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Northeast ZZ Highway in Deepwater for report of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Subject was pronounced deceased.

September 25, 2023- St. Clair County deputies received a call for service at the Sheriff’s Office for a report of a missing juvenile. Information taken and juvenile was entered into M.U.L.E.S as missing.

September 25, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to South Hickory Street in Appleton City for uncontrollable juvenile. Juvenile was transported to St. Clair County Sheriffs Office to be transferred to the Juvenile Officer on call.
