School Community Council Nominations

The Pu`u Kukui Elementary School Community Council is seeking nominations for parent representatives for the 2021-2022 school year.

As a School Community Council member, you can help your council discover new and exciting ways to contribute to the education of students in your school. Education is a partnership involving parents, students, teachers, principals and the community. Your involvement in the council gives you the opportunity to strengthen that partnership.

Membership on a School Community Council (SCC) also benefits the individuals involved. The personal advantages of becoming a School Community Council member include:

being an important partner in the education system;
contributing to the shared goal of improving student achievement;
being informed about what is happening at school.

Our council currently has three openings. The top vote-getters serve two year terms. The third highest vote-getter serves a one year term.

Please consider nominating either yourself or someone who may be interested in serving on the SCC. The nomination forms are due to our office by May 14, 2021. An election will follow shortly thereafter.
