6. Resolution Drafting

• Resolution requesting traffic calming for the 700 block of Jackson St NE
• Resolution requesting agreement on Snow and Ice Removal on the MBT @ Bryant St NE
• Proposed Resolution on Rhode Island Avenue NE safety improvements
• Proposed Resolution on 5th Street NE sidewalk
• All of the above were unanimously referred up to the Commission for a vote

7. Public Comment

• Chris M:

• Submitted several requests for a traffic light on RIA for those leaving the McDs to exit (they would be confused by the firehouse signal).

• Brooke B:

• Franklin St NE bike lanes are frequently dirty/not cleaned properly.

• Bryan H:

• Reconfiguration of bike lanes @ MBT and 8th to 7th makes it challenging to take the eastbound protected lanes on Franklin St NE from the MBT

8. Future Agenda Items

• Next month: Mike Goodno from DDOT will talk about their bike lane program
• Additional resolutions:

• Monroe St NE + Franklin St NE bridge snow & ice & trash clearing
• Protected bike lanes: 4th St NE, 8th St NE, Monroe St NE, Harry Thomas Way bike, 3rd St NE between R & Randolph snow and ice clearing

• Please provide us with a plan for DPW to acknowledge new bike infrastructure and integrate them into maintenance schedules
• BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that ANC 5F requests that DDOT and DPW come to an agreement and notify ANC 5F about who is responsible for snow pretreatment, clearing, and maintenance of the the Metropolitan Branch Trail from Michigan Avenue NE to M St NE; and

• Major collector bike lanes that need to see upgrades?

• Possible safe routes to school tie-in
