Letter from Orchestra Director to Orchestra Students

Encouragement to Student to Audition for All-County Orchestra

Dear Orchestra Students,

There is an exciting opportunity coming up that I believe is going to allow our orchestra program to really shine. I am writing to encourage you to audition for the All-County Orchestra. This is an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your musical talents and represent our school in a prestigious event.

The All-County Orchestra is made up of the best musicians from all of the schools in the county. It is a highly competitive event, and being selected for the orchestra is a significant accomplishment. It is also an excellent opportunity for you to learn from other talented musicians and work with a guest conductor.  However, I believe if we set a goal of 50% of All-County orchestra members being from our orchestra, we can strongly accomplish this goal.

Admittedly, auditioning for the All-County Orchestra will require some extra effort and dedication on your part, but I believe it will be worth it. Here are a few reasons why I think you should consider auditioning:

1.         Personal growth: Preparing for an audition will require you to practice more and push yourself to improve. Even if you do not make the orchestra, you will have gained valuable experience and become a better musician: I believe you will make this orchestra.

2.         Represent our school: If you are selected for the All-County Orchestra, you will have the opportunity to represent our school and showcase your talents. This is an excellent way to show others what we are capable of and to promote our music program. And be a part of us achieving our goal of 50% of the members being from our orchestra.

3.         Make new friends: The All-County Orchestra is a great way to meet other talented musicians from different schools. It's a chance to make new friends and learn from each other.

I strongly encourage you to consider auditioning for the All-County Orchestra. The experience of preparing for an audition and performing in the orchestra will be invaluable to you as a musician. And whether you are considering majoring in music or not it will look great on your college application. If you have any questions or concerns about the audition process, please do not hesitate to speak with me.

Thank you for your dedication to music, and I look forward to hearing your audition.

Sincerely
