It was great to see you all. At our christmas meal

For those of you that missed it here's Steve's Alsager Runners poem to get you in the running Christmas spirit!

Alsager Runners Christmas poem

It was the evening before the run all round Alsager place,

Runners all carb loading hoping for a great pace.

Your running kit all hung with great care,

along with gels watches lights all there.

The many alone nights of training are very hard

With hill repeats, long runs and fartleks to be had

water intake has all been perfected,

hopefully no aches or pains detected

when this run day arrives all the alsager runners fill the streets

and up to the library they all retreat

setting their watches as they dash to the start

this running malarkey can be a bit of an art

as the miles pass by they run with all of their might

water and fuel stations are never in sight.

Chasing their group down dunnocksfold and close lane they go

chatting to their friends keeping up their mojo

when to what their wearing eyes should appear

a spar a place with the finish so near

dashing along they go through alsager

all thinking this run has done them a favour

Lights are dancing all up the main road

help keeping the drivers on their toes

endorphins are racing all round their heads

off for some stretching, food and then straight to bed.

may your running always be such a wonderful delight

happy running to all and to all a good night

Wow what a fantastic first year we have had

There was a fantastic turnout at the Tatton Park 10k on Saturday 11th September.

20 runners plus supporters turned out for the scenic 10k which all took place in the park itself.

Everyone excelled themselves with podium places and personal bests in abundance!

It was great to see so many orange Alsager Runners vests and to see everyone encouraging one another round.

It was a great way to mark 1 year of Alsager Runners and really showed the friendliness and inclusiveness of the club.
