Eligibility |
| Anyone. No geo or age restriction |
Idea |
| Your idea should be brand new, you should not have worked on it before |
Prohibited Content |
| No NSFW, gambling, hate, extremist, or copyrighted assets you don’t own. |
Ownership |
| You own what you build; you grant Vibe Hackathon the right to showcase it in recap posts or other media. |
Conduct |
| Be kind, respect others, and no trolling. |
Submission Requirements
All submissions must include:
- Working demo link (must be publicly accessible)
- Video demo (2-3 minutes max, showing your project in action)
- Short description of the project
- Social media post of your demo, tag us on instagram (@thebuildx)
Video Demonstration (Max 3 minutes): A short video that:
- Introduce your team.
- Explains the problem or concept.
- Demonstrates your project's features and functionality.
- Explains what makes your project unique.
Startup Track
Objective
Build a web app that solves a real problem with clear business potential.
-You can use only one of the three tools for the startup track that we will announce later
-Requirements: Must have user authentication, at least 3 distinct pages/views
Judging Criteria
- Business Viability (40%) - Does this solve a real problem people would pay for?
- Problem-Solution Fit (30%) - How well does your solution address the identified problem?
- User Experience (20%) - Is it intuitive and well-designed?
- Technical Execution (10%) - Does it work properly and handle edge cases?

- SaaS for Microfinance: Platform helping small businesses track loans and payments
- Local Service Marketplace: Connect neighbors for services like dog walking, tutoring, repairs
- Expense Tracker for Freelancers: Simple tool to track business expenses and generate tax reports
- Event Planning Assistant: Help people organize small events with vendor recommendations and budgeting
- Study Group Matcher: Connect students based on courses, study preferences, and schedules
