Alphascape v4.0 (Savage) / O12S Guide
By: Alkaid Kuramoto <Content Respectors>
Mechanics and Rough Timeline:
Phase 1:
[0:20] Target Analysis
- Targets a tank with a marker. Gives them a magic-vuln debuff in an AoE hit. Follows with a shared tank buster. Can either have the non-marked tank move away from the magic vuln aoe, and then move to intercept in front of the marked tank for the buste; or, just have the debuffed tank invuln.
[0:35] Patch
- Gives the raid one of two debuffs:
(1) Remove Regression - Stack close to your partner to not break tether
(2) Local Regression - Stack away from your partner to not break tether
[Triggers are listed below for these two debuffs in Appendix A]
- DPS should be somewhat spread from Tanks/Healers to start, so you can identify who is tethered to whom.
- To resolve the mechanic properly, all four tethers must be broken in 25 seconds, or it will result in a raid wipe. However, when broken, the tethers will do a mild-hitting AoE and give two stacks of magic-vuln that last for around 2 seconds. Therefore, you must stagger breaking the tethers.
- The main tank will break their tether ASAP here.
[0:40] Diffuse Wave Cannon
- Cone AoE. Random between front/back or sides.
- Look for bright white orbs, that’s the safe spot.
- As soon as the cast finishes, the off-tank should be breaking their tether.
[0:50] Oversampled Wave Cannon
- Tank buster. Hits both tanks. Has splash damage, so have one tank in front of the boss, and the other on the flank towards the rear.
- The tanks need to be inside or close to his hitbox on the side that the monitors spawn on. The party needs to make sure they’re on the opposite side.
- Break one of the healers tethers right AFTER this resolves.
[1:00] Ion Efflux / End of Patch
- Hard hitting AoE buster. Needs mitigation. If any tethers and their magic-vuln debuffs are not resolved by the time this goes off, it’s a raid-wipe.
- It is recommended to pop your final healer tether the moment you see the castbar for this appear.

[1:15] Hello, World
- After a mild AoE, three debuffs will go out.
- Another strategy for this can be taken from Cowboy Emoji’s guide, which is here. For further detail, refer to their guide.
Latent Defect [LD]
Must soak damage from only one source, otherwise die when the timer runs out. Starts on 1 DPS, 1 healer and 1 tank.
Critical Synchronization Bug [CSB]
Share damage with someone or take lethal damage. Starts only on DPS. Has either an 8s or ~12s duration.
Critical Overflow Bug [COB]
Large AoE emitted from player upon ending. Starts on the tank who didn’t get Latent Defect.
- All debuffs (except for Latent Defect) pass to whoever was hit by the AoE they cause.
[1:45] Critical Error
- Consider Critical Error the final part of Hello, World. Simply: Any player who did not have the
COB debuff during Hello, World, will now get that debuff.
[2:00] Ion Efflux
Handling ‘Hello, World’ and ‘Critical Error’:
Tanks:
LD:
- Provoke the boss and move it just south of the center of the room.
- Soak the shared hit with the
8s DPS a little to the southwest. - Stay there and pop a CD for the second hit of the
shared (solo). - Once you get
from critical error, go to (D). - Note: Most groups will find it easier to have the tank go to (A) to keep it consistent with Hello World #2.
COB:
- Go to (A) and wait for your
COB to expire. The healer will rescue you after this goes off. - Taunt the boss and wait for the
12s to go off, then pull the boss to (C).
Healers:
LD:
- Stand north of the center of the room and wait for the first
COB at (A) to go off. - Move to (2) and wait for your own
to go off. - Run down to C and prep for Ion Efflux.
- Go to the right of the boss, south of the center (make sure you dodge the
at (A)). - Rescue the tank at (A) then move northeast to soak the
at (2). - Go to (2) for your own
. - Go to (C) and prep for Ion Efflux.
DPS:
LD:
- Stand north of the center of the room and wait for the first
COB at (A) to go off. - Then move to (1) and wait for your own
COB to go off. - Move to (C).
CSB 8s:
- Move to the southwest of the boss and share the
CSB hit with the tank standing there. - Move to stand on the southeast of the boss with the
12s. - Move to (A) for your
during Critical Error. - Note: Most groups will find it easier to have you go to (D) to keep it consistent with Hello World #2.
- Move back to (C) for Ion Efflux.
CSB 12s:
- Move just southeast of the boss and wait for another DPS to soak your
CSB with you. - Move to (B) for your
during Critical Error. - Move back to (C) for Ion Efflux.
- Stand far to the left of the boss making sure you won’t get hit by the
at (A). - After the first
COB at (A) goes off, move north and get hit by the
COB going off at (1). - Move to (1) and wait for your
to go off. - Go to (C) for Ion Efflux.

[2:15] Archive Peripheral
- Three units will spawn on a random side of the arena. Each of these will have a random direction assigned to their AoE, as shown by the animated arrows around them. There are 6 patterns. To see all patterns and their safe spots, go to Appendix B.
‘Archive Peripheral’ Visualized:

[2:35] Target Analysis
[2:55] Diffuse Wave Cannon
[3:00] Oversampled Wave Cannon
[3:15] Index and Archive Peripheral
- Three units will spawn on a random side of the room. They will attach tethers to 1 DPS, 1 Healer and 1 Tank. These are distance based, and you must move as far from the unit as possible. Make sure the tether lines up with the dot in the center of the room to achieve maximum distance.
- All other players will also get hit by a laser upon completion of ‘Wave Cannon’. These target based on closest to the boss, so make sure you’re not standing on the edge so those with tethers get double hit.
- All laser hits cleave, so make sure to stay spread.
- Lasers are surprisingly thin. Melee and tanks can double stack on the sides at max-melee range.
[3:35] Target Analysis
- Melee should stagger ‘Feints’ after this resolves for the long period of downtime before the next mechanic.
Phase 2:
[4:00] Patch
[4:15] Diffuse Wave Cannon
[4:20] Oversampled Wave Cannon
[4:30] Ion Efflux
[4:40] Archive All
- 6 units spawn around the room. The boss readies a room-long laser hit, very similar to Archive Peripheral. The boss will also rotate to face a certain direction and then jump that direction. The damage from that jump is distance based.
- To find the safe spot, first identify which way the boss will be jumping. You must go the opposite direction. Then look at which way the laser will be rotating. Go to the unit upon which the laser will not be rotating towards.
- Stack on the wall on the safe-spot and kill the unit there.
- While you’re killing the unit, four random people will get Fire markers above their head, and one random person will get a stack marker. AoEs will also be dropped under the group. Assign spread spots to each person, spread when you see the markers, and have the people without markers and the stack-marker person go back to the wall once the dropped AoEs resolve.
- Shortly after the markers resolve, the units will explode dealing damage to anyone caught near them. Make sure the unit you were attacking is dead and everyone is stacked near the wall on the safe spot. The unit explosions are larger than indicated on the below graphic, so make sure to stack tight.

[5:20] Diffuse Wave Cannon
Phase 3:
[5:40] Hello, World #2
- The boss should be at 50% or lower before going into this.
- This is very similar to Hello, World #1 except there is an additional debuff you must manage:
Critical Underflow Bug.
- Another strategy for this can be taken from Cowboy Emoji’s guide, which is here. For further detail, refer to their guide.
Critical Underflow Bug [CUB]
15 second duration, after which does a small-radius AoE around the player. Anyone aside from the player caught in said AoE takes lethal damage. Passes to any player who comes into contact with someone with the debuff.
[6:05] Critical Error #2
Handling ‘Hello, World’ #2 and ‘Critical Error’:
Tanks:
LD:
- Provoke the boss and move it just south of the center of the room.
- Soak the shared hit with the
8s DPS a little to the southwest. - Stay there and pop a CD for the second hit of the
shared (solo). - Grab
from the other tank. - Soak the tower in the center, attacking the boss if you can.
- Go to (A) for your
from critical error.
COB:
- Go to (A) and wait for your
COB to expire. The healer will rescue you after this goes off and give you
. - Taunt the boss and wait for the
12s to go off, then pass

to explode.
Healers:
LD:
- Stand north of the center of the room and wait for the first
COB at (A) to go off. - Move to (2) and wait for your own
to go off. - Run down to C and prep for Ion Efflux. Make sure to not accidentally grab
on your way back.
CUB:
- Go to the right of the boss, south of the center (make sure you dodge the
at (A)). - Rescue the tank at (A) and pass
then move northeast for your
explosion. - Soak the
at (2) and then go to (2) for your own
. - Go to (C) and prep for Ion Efflux making sure to not bump into someone on your way back by hugging the edge of the arena. Wait, if necessary, for the tanks
explosion at (C).
DPS:
LD:
- Stand north of the center of the room and wait for the first
COB at (A) to go off. - Then move to (1) and wait for your own
COB to go off. - Move back to the boss’s west flank and follow it as it moves south.
- Wait for the tanks
explosion and then move to (C).
CSB 8s:
- Move to the southwest of the boss and share the
CSB hit with the tank standing there. - Move to stand on the southeast of the boss with the
12s. - Move just south of the boss to pick up
from the tank. - Soak the tower near (D).
- Move to (A) for your
from Critical Error.
CSB 12s:
- Move just southeast of the boss and wait for another DPS to soak your
CSB with you. - Move just south of the boss to pick up
from the tank. - Soak the tower at (B).
- Move to (B) for your
from Critical Error.
- Stand far to the left of the boss making sure you won’t get hit by the
at (A). - After the first
COB at (A) goes off, move north and get hit by the
COB going off at (1). - Move to (1) and wait for your
to go off. - Go to (C) for Ion Efflux making sure to not bump into anyone by hugging the edge of the arena. Wait, if necessary, for the tanks
explosion at (C).
