Code of Conduct
Approved by the Board on September 5, 2023
At Seattle Frontrunners (“the Club”) our commitment to our five core values - Welcoming, Genuine, Inclusive, Positive, and Community Oriented - drives us to create and maintain an inclusive and diverse atmosphere where everyone feels valued and respected. We warmly invite individuals from all backgrounds to join us in fostering camaraderie and unity through our shared love for running and walking. With a positive mindset, we empower members to lead healthy lifestyles, reach their running and walking goals, and contribute to the LGBTQIA+ community.
In line with our values, we prioritize maintaining a secure, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members, standing united against actions and behaviors that compromise our core values. This policy establishes expectations of our members in situations and environments involving other members that, but for Seattle Frontrunners, would not exist or would not have taken place. This policy, alongside its supporting policies, also provides a framework for the Club as it continues to grow.
Together as members, we commit to this wellness, acceptance, and growth journey; to our shared passion for running and walking; to remaining vigilant in preserving a positive atmosphere; and to standing united against any actions that may compromise our values and principles, or the rights, dignity and worth of our members.
The following expectations shall apply to Seattle Frontrunners members:
This policy is not an exhaustive list of expectations in every aspect. Rather, together with other Club policies and procedures, it provides a general framework to aid in decision making when faced with personal and ethical dilemmas.
The Board shall have the sole power of expelling members from the Club subject to adoption of other policies. No member duly expelled or suspended by the Board shall attend any official Club event, receive any support or assistance from the Club, or participate in events using the Club’s name or logo.
