Office Hours at Solon Town Hall for the Town Clerk/Tax Collector:

*******There will be no Town Clerk/Tax Collector hours for the following dates:  April 30th, May 1st and May 6th.  The office will be closed on those dates.

Town Clerk/Tax Collector Office Hours January - May 2023

• Open every Monday 5-7pm (5-6:30 for Tax Collection)  (Closed on Jan 2, Mar 20, Mar 27)
• Open first Saturday of every month 9-11 am (Open *Jan 14 in place of Jan 7), Feb 4, Mar 4, Apr 1, May 6)
• Open last day of every month 5-7 pm (Open Jan 31, Feb 28, Mar 31 ,Apr 30, May 31)
• Beginning June 2023 Additional hours for Tax Collection will end and Clerk Office hours will be every Monday 5-7 only.  No Saturday hours.

NOTE: The Town of Solon does not issue hunting or fishing licenses.

DOG LICENSES

In the Town of Solon, all dogs over four months of age are required to be licensed.  As of 2011, all dog licenses must be obtained through the office of the Town Clerk.  A current Rabies Certificate is required for all Dog Licenses.

Fees:                

$10 for spayed or neutered dogs

$20 for not spayed or neutered

$3 for replacement tags

DOG CONTROL OFFICER

Effective November 21, 2016, Cortland County SPCA will be handling all dog control issues in the Town of Solon.  For any dog control issues please call 753-9386.

ACCESSIBILITY PERMITS

Accessibility permits and renewals are now being issued through the Town Clerk’s office.  If a current permit was issued through another town, the renewal must be done through the Town of Solon.

Payment accepted by cash, money order or check.  No credit card payments accepted. A Returned Check Fee of $25 plus any other applicable bank fees will be applied.
