Senior Meetings with Counselors

Class of 2025

Counselors will meet with seniors, individually, between September 16- October 31, 2024  Meetings will be approximately 10-25 min. to include discussing each student’s graduation requirements, post HS plans, next steps for those plans, and to answer questions students may have.

Seniors are encouraged to complete the senior “brag sheet” (and resume if they have it) to give to their counselor to be used for any needed recommendations. The brag sheet should be completed thoroughly and thoughtfully, as it helps counselors write letters of recommendation when requested.  (The brag sheet is available at Senior Night 9/12/24, in Student Services, and here on SHS website/Senior Info. page). Students should bring their completed brag sheet to their senior meeting or at least when a letter of recommendation is needed (2 weeks’ notice).

Process: Counselors will pull seniors from first semester Economics & Personal Finance (EPF) classes. There will be a window of time (the class period on both dates listed below) when these meetings will occur.  If the counselor does not see a student on the assigned classroom day, the counselor will reschedule that student separately.  **Students can always schedule additional appointments with their counselor throughout the year as needed.

For students who are not in Economics and Personal Finance this semester, counselors will initiate appointments to see those students during their other classes on determined dates during the month of October.  These will be posted at a later date and/or students notified via their teacher.
