The 7th grade girls played well as a team and defeated Sunman-Dearborn by a score of 29-17 last Thursday. The Spartans dominated on the boards with 40 team rebounds! Kathryn Wilson had an all around great game with 14 rebounds, 5 steals, 2 assists, and only 2 turnovers. Northside finished the regular season with a record of 11-9. Next up is the Tri-County Tourney this Saturday.

The 8th grade Lady Spartans put together a first half for the books last Thursday night for a 16 point halftime lead vs. Sunman-Dearborn! The girls stuck together through some fierce 2nd half pressure to come away with a 7 point victory!!

Tri-County Results:

The 7th grade girls came out flat against a determined Seymour team Saturday and were down 28-13 at the end of the 3rd qtr. The Spartans responded with a furious 4th qtr rally and cut the lead to 6 points, but they were not able to get any closer. The Owls won the game by a score of 33-24. Erykah Richard led the Spartans with 10 points.

The 7th grade boys fought their tails off but came up short in a back and forth game vs. Central in Round 1 of Tri-County. The final score was 51-39. Thanks for a good season Spartans!

The 8th grade boys ran into a buzz saw on Saturday morning vs. the Chargers, 51-26. The sluggish start was too difficult to overcome against a solid Central team.

The 8th grade Lady Spartans finished their season with the Tri-County Championship on Saturday to end a perfect 22-0 on the season. Let me say that again, this team went UNDEFEATED and in the words of Lauren Barker: “This team don’t take L’s!” The Spartans dominated Seymour, 53-15 in Round 1 and beat Central for the third time this year, 46-34 in the Championship! Leah Bachmann had a game for the ages with a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds! As a team the Spartans had 15 assists with six players getting in the scoring column. 32 team rebounds later the Spartans completed what they set out to do at the season’s start. Congratulations on a great season ladies!
