CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS – DEADLINE: DEC. 1, 2024 EXTENDED TO DEC 31, 2024!
United States for Abortion

INTRODUCTION
The United States for Abortion is a community-generated abortion justice design project, which reflects the country’s majority support for abortion rights. We seek to include contributing designers from all 50 US states, as well as Washington D.C. and the colonized territory of Puerto Rico. We also welcome submissions from Indigenous Tribal Nations.
The project seeks to shift pro-choice rhetoric in order to destigmatize abortion, to acknowledge the contemporary mechanisms of abortion, to address the wide range of reasons why people get abortions, and to speak inclusively about who gets abortions.
The ideological and demographic diversity of the abortion rights public is a powerful strength. Over time, we hope to build a coalition that includes contributors with diverse identities and backgrounds, including gender, race/ethnicity, age, religion, class, political affiliation, parental status, sexuality, citizenship status, and others.
Accepted designs are published on usforabortion.org and available for purchase as t-shirts, stickers, and prints. All proceeds are donated to the National Network of Abortion Funds, supporting their vital work in eliminating financial and logistical barriers to abortion access. The project may expand to include gallery exhibitions or publications.
The first set of designs were submitted by a cohort of contributors from Arkansas, California, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Missouri, and Washington D.C. We now call for submissions for the next set of designs in the collection, which will drop in early 2025.
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
We seek design submissions that work to destigmatize abortion, that speak inclusively about who gets abortion, and that accurately represent abortion and the supporting public, for the next design drop in the United States for Abortion collection.
The message of your artwork may be broad, it may address specific issues or identities, and/or it may relate to your particular state/region/context. Artwork previously published may be submitted, so long as you own the copyright.
