2025 - 2026 Woods Walk Schedule

(2nd Sunday of the month, begins at Noon, October through April)

What is a Woods Walk?  It is an easy walking, through-the-woods course with 20 steel reactive targets at ranges varying from 15 to 85 yards. It is shot strictly for fun, the only prizes are “bragging rights”.  You will need enough supplies to fire 20 shots.

Recommended firearm for Woods Walk use:  Flintlock or Percussion long gun rifled or smoothbore, with open sights, using black powder, and patched round ball.

Currently, there is no caliber limit, however, we ask when shooting calibers over .54 that you use light loads to be kind to our targets.

If you are interested in bringing an inline rifle or lack some shooting supplies, please contact Russ Wenner and we will work something out.  Please do not let the lack of supplies or equipment prevent you from attending. Contact Russ Wenner at least 24 hours before and we will do our best to have equipment and supplies on hand for you to participate.

$10.00 per shooter.  Ages under 18 shoot for free.  Spectators are welcome.

Registration opens at 11:30AM and the Woods Walk begins promptly at Noon.  The Woods Walk will normally end by 3PM.  There is no food available at these events so please eat lunch before attending.
