REFERENCE GUIDANCE

This guidance comes directly from the IDPH. We must adhere to these guidelines. Please refer to this guidance using the appropriate scenario and follow the directions that follow.

Use this scenario if your child has even 1 symptom.   Fever 100.4 or higher, headache, shortness of breath, new cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain from an unknown cause, congestion or runny nose, headache, loss of the sense of smell or taste, nausea, unexplained fatigue, muscle or body aches, chills or sweating.)

IF ONE OF YOUR CHILDREN ARE SICK, THE OTHERS MUST ALSO STAY HOME UNTIL ONE OF THESE 3 OPTIONS HAVE BEEN MET.

1) Stay home for 10 calendar days from onset and for 24 hrs fever free without fever reducing agents or

2) Stay home until symptoms have improved and fever free for 24 and a DOCTOR's note giving an alternative diagnosis or

3) Obtain a Negative COVID test with a copy of the results or Doctor's note saying that the results were negative

IF ONE OF YOUR CHILDREN ARE A CLOSE CONTACT TO A POSITIVE OR PROBABLE CASE BUT YOUR CHILD SHOWS NO SYMPTOMS

You must keep your child home for 14 days from the date of the last contact. YOUR OTHER CHILDREN MAY ATTEND SCHOOL. You can not test out of quarantine for a close contact exposure.
