Art Supply List

All students will have their own cubby which will house their supplies and their work. If students choose to bring any other supplies from home they are more than welcome, and are more than welcome to keep them in their personal cubby. If there are any supplies that are lost or stolen the school will not be responsible ( I have not had any problems so far).

 3D Design/Art

I highly suggest students have an apron or t-shirt they will keep in class. It can get really messy!

Plastic baggies are highly encouraged. This is where students will keep their unfinished work so that the clay does not dry out. I suggest getting gallon sized bags, or grocery bags work as well.

You are more than welcome to bring any other materials from home :)

Students are required to have a sketchbook. I suggest having one with blank pages (lined paper is fine). And sketchbooks must not be smaller than 4”x6” inches. Students will be required to use their sketchbooks daily, as it is a part of their grade.

A good pencil and eraser is required! We will be using them a-lot! I prefer wooden pencils, but mechanical is perfectly fine. Whatever works for you works for me.

Hand sharpener (optional)

Paper towels (optional)

Colored pencils (optional)

Prisma colored pencils (optional)

Apron (optional, but I do suggest having one when we start using water color and acrylics to protect your clothing)

All materials will be provided in the classroom. Anything that you bring from home is yours, and yours only to use. You will not be required to share, and you will have a cubby to keep all of your supplies in.

Art 2

Sketchbook is required. You will have weekly sketch book checks that will be work 20% of your grade. I prefer a sketchbook with blank pages, but I you prefer lined paper that will work as well. Please make sure that your sketchbook is only used for this class.

Good pencil and eraser (required)

Sketchbook (required) No smaller than 4”x6”.

Apron (optional)

All other materials will be supplied in the classroom. If you choose to bring any additional materials/mediums from home you are more than able. You will not be required to share with anyone and will have a cubby to keep your supplies in.

Art 3

You all know the drill by now! :)

Sketchbook, pencil and eraser are required. No smaller than 4”x6”.

I also suggest bringing an apron of some sort.

And something for everyone to remember is to bring a good attitude and an excitement to learn! You are all amazing artists already! I can’t wait to meet all of you and teach you about something that I love!  You will all succeed, I promise!  We are going to have a blast!  Can’t wait! :)

Sincerely,

Mrs. Speedy
