Chapter 332

Perfect Fusion Resurrection Godlight

(TL by Bagelson)

Ning Rongrong and Oscar shared a look. They both saw the resolve in each other’s eyes. They weren’t going to tell these people watching Tang San that, actually, they weren’t even a bit sure they could revive Tang San.

Previously when they clasped hands and that strange light appeared, they did indeed receive information. They didn’t lie either. The second hundred thousand year ninth spirit abilities were indeed the spirit fusion ability Light of Resurrection.

Spirit fusion ability Light of Resurrection: Resurrection condition, within two hours of death, body not broken. After resurrection, restore to fifty percent strength. Ning Rongrong and Oscar lose spirit power for one month.

This was without a doubt an extremely powerful, or even the most powerful support type resurrection ability in history. Or rather, how could a spirit fusion ability used by the world’s number one food type Title Douluo and the world’s number one support type Title Douluo be lacking?

However, equally certain was that this Light of Resurrection targeted humans. But now Ning Rongrong and Oscar would resurrect the Seagod Tang San.

Of course they knew that resurrecting a human and resurrecting a god were entirely different concepts. Regardless of whether their Light of Resurrection would work on Tang San or not, even if it really did, would the price of resurrecting a god and a human be the same?

These questions would make anyone hesitate, but at this moment there was no time for Oscar and Ning Rongrong to hesitate. At that time, if they didn’t step forward, maybe everyone here would already be corpses. This was the last hope, as Oscar and Ning Rongrong looked at each other and shouted to everyone, they had already made their resolve.

Resurrecting a human would cost them one month of spirit power. So, resurrecting a god? Even if they would lose spirit power forever they would still be willing, even if it cost them their lives.

This wasn’t just because of their feelings for Tang San, it was even more for this last hope. Eggs didn’t survive an overturned nest. If the Heaven Dou Empire fell, could they still live in peace? With no way but forward, and this last shred of hope before them, they might as well try.

Seeing Tang San’s completely lifeless body, Ning Rongrong thought to herself:
Third brother, it’s always been you who blocked the wind and rain in front of us, paying for us. You might say that Rongrong’s present accomplishments are all thanks to you. Today, let me and little Ao repay this kindness. At worst, we’ll walk the road to hell together.

Oscar drew a deep breath, “Xiao Wu, step aside.”

Xiao Wu raised her head. There was no longer any tears in her eyes, her previous despairing expression was now replaced by a last shred of hope. Looking into her eyes, Ning Rongrong and Oscar felt their souls shiver. They did not doubt that if Tang San wasn’t resurrected, Xiao Wu would soon follow after him. Their lives seemed merged into one.

“Please.” Xiao Wu lowered her head, giving Tang San a soft kiss. When she placed Tang San’s body on the ground, she couldn’t keep from trembling, like some strange energy charged around within her, trying to break out of her body. Especially the moment she kissed him, she felt like she had turned ice cold. Her skin all over her body began to redden.

Looking at Tang San with a reluctant gaze, Xiao Wu cautiously laid him flat on the ground. Everyone’s attention was now on Tang San, nobody noticed her changes.

Rising, XIao Wu slowly moved to the side. Her fists were clenched tightly, and the extremely ice cold energy within her seemed to grow even more intense. All she could think of now was that she was losing her mind. The moment Bibi Dong crushed Tang San’s heart, her heart also seemed to break. She entered an indescribable state. It was just after that this ice cold stream appeared, and grew more and more intense.

Xiao Wu didn’t make a sound, she didn’t even think about what was happening to her. Only Tang San was in her eyes. Biting her lower lip, she tightened her fists, focusing all her attention on Tang San.

Oscar and Ning Rongrong raised their heads to look at each other practically simultaneously. In each other’s eyes they saw the same answer. No matter what the cost, no matter what challenges, even if all they could get was a slim chance, they still couldn’t give up.

Shifting their feet, they each came up to stand on either side of Tang San. Raising both hands, entwining their fingers, like two bridges over Tang San.

Intense spirit power pulses rushed out, spirit rings appearing one by one from beneath their feet, circling above. As that last red spirit ring appeared, everyone’s hearts rose into their throats.

Even though Oscar and Ning Rongrong spoke with certainty, nobody could guarantee something like resurrection. Resurrecting a human was something completely unheard of, let alone resurrecting a god. Back then, Xiao Wu was resurrected from a completely unharmed physical body, and her soul stored in Tang San’s spirit ring and spirit bone, returning through them with the help of heavenly treasure grade medicine, leading to Xiao Wu’s rebirth. But in some sense that wasn’t actually resurrection.

Right now the enormous wound in Tang San’s chest was clear for everyone to see. There was no longer a heart in his chest, and he hadn’t shown any signs of coming to after his mental clash with Bibi Dong, very likely his soul was already broken. Under such conditions there was no telling what the success rate of resurrection might be. This was unimaginable to everyone, but they could only treat Ning Rongrong and Oscar’s words as their last hope, they were even less willing to believe Tang San was truly dead.

Oscar looked at Ning Rongrong, and whispered, “Let’s begin.”

Ning Rongrong nodded, and their eyes brightened simultaneously. Oscar’s hands were already white, and Ning Rongrong’s hands were filed with nine colored radiance. As everyone watched, Oscar and Ning Rongrong’s other eight spirit rings dulled, even disappearing, only the ninth spirit rings abruptly grew and blossomed with dazzling light. Two red rings of light swiftly expanded, enveloping one another. As those two red rings united into one, fusing together, the white on Oscar’s hands turned pink, and Ning Rongrong’s nine colored light instead turned white. White and pink light sparkled against each other, as surging light suddenly erupted. The entire hall was immediately filled with the presence of a strange energy.

This energy didn’t give any aggressive feeling, nor any powerful pressure, but the enormity of the energy contained within could still be sensed. A ten meter diameter and three meter tall golden dome quietly appeared as this light spread out, enveloping Oscar and Ning Rongrong as well as Tang San. The energy that was wildly fluctuating just a moment ago suddenly converged in this moment, completely withdrawing into that light cover. It felt like it had disappeared. But the scene within the dome also began to change.

Grandmaster frowned, muttering to himself, “Little Ao deliberately released this energy to stop their ability from being sensed from outside. These kids really have grown up, they can still keep calm even now.”

Everyone around saw into the barrier from outside, it seemed that the only effect of that golden dome was to isolate the energy, and couldn’t affect anything else. They all focused on the circumstances inside. Meanwhile, Tang Hao, Poison Douluo, the Golden Iron Triangle, Xiao Wu and the others also roused themselves, preparing to respond to any changes. Just in case Bibi Dong might make an appearance.

That golden dome of light felt like another world, a strange world. Tang San showed no change as he was wrapped up in red light, but Oscar and Ning Rongrong were strangely transformed.

Behind each of them appeared an illusory figure. The one behind Oscar was yellow, tall and slender, wearing a yellow robe and a tall hat, surrounded by gentle yellow energy pulses. And behind Ning Rongrong was a nine colored figure, in a nine colored whirling dress, and countless streaming ribbons, clearly the image of a goddess.

After these two figures appeared, the two spirit rings shining with red light disappeared. Oscar and Ning Rongrong held each other’s hands and closed their eyes. Their bodies also shone with the same light as the figures behind them.

The illusory figures behind them slowly moved forward, gradually melding with their bodies and becoming more and more real, while Oscar and Ning Rongrong disappeared inside the light. As if uniting with the silhouettes.

“Grandmaster, what’s going on?” Tang Hao couldn’t help asking Grandmaster.

Grandmaster shook his head, “I don’t know either. Spirit fusion abilities at this level are rare, even more so when they come from fusing abilities. We have to believe that they can definitely create a miracle. Let’s pray for little San. Little San won’t die, definitely not.”

Tang Hao nodded forcefully and they each closed their eyes, silently praying.

The shadow and body finished fusing and appeared within the golden light, a man in golden robes and a tall crown as well as a stunning woman in nine colored dress. Strangely, even though both their figures and clothes changed into this strange appearance, their faces still remained as Oscar and Ning Rongrong. At this moment, their faces revealed sacred light, and their surroundings were dyed in bizarre brilliance. Even though the energy waves were isolated by the golden dome, right now the few Title Douluo on the outside could clearly sense how immense that sacred presence was. They even felt that if this presence burst from the golden light, they would have no way of resisting.

The four clasped hands slowly let go, Oscar and Ning Rongrong each pulling their hands back to their chest, cupping them. A pink ball of light slowly appeared in the hands of the golden man Oscar had turned into, and as it did, the yellow light around him gradually thinned.

Ning Rongrong’s circumstances were similar to his, only in her hands appeared a nine colored ball of light. These two light balls were dazzling in front of them, releasing gentle but incredibly intense energy waves.

Among the crowd, Xiao Wu was definitely the one who had the most contact with the divine. She also clearly knew the circumstances when Oscar and Ning Rongrong finished absorbing their last spirit ring. Xiao Wu had completely forgotten her own pain, as red magic patterns appeared on her hands, but she held back that ice cold energy within her by force of will, not letting herself reveal any pained expression or sound.

This is the Food God and Nine Colored Goddess? There’s hope for Ge. Little Ao and Rongrong’s ninth spirit fusion ability seems to be to draw down the descent of the two gods to temporarily use their power, no wonder they said this ability could save Ge. If it’s the descent of gods, then it really is possible. It seems like these two great gods should be support types. Two support gods helping resurrect Ge, there’s definitely a chance, definitely a chance. Ge, you have to come back.

Xiao Wu shouted wildly in her heart. Her intense prayer and belief placed all of her energies in a strange state, and in this state the red magic patterns that had appeared on her skin were actually forcefully suppressed. Even that ice cold energy gradually disappeared in her meridians under the pressure of this obsessive conviction, removing Xiao Wu’s pain. But, this was irrelevant to her, if Tang San wasn’t resurrected, all this would be meaningless.

The Food God and Nine Colored Goddess slowly pushed their hands forward, the energy spheres in their hands gradually approaching. Lines of multicolored lightning was visibly raged between the two spheres, as if they were repelling each other. The Food God and Nine Colored Goddess showed pained expressions, but their hands steadily closed in on each other.

In a moment, as those two energy balls came closer and closer, the raging lightning between them also grew more and more concentrated, the violent energy waves nearly collapsing the golden dome of light, making it flicker.

Tang Hao clenched his fist, shouting inwardly like everyone else, it has to work!

Finally those two energy balls met towards Tang San, or to be precise, at that enormous wound in his chest.

Incredibly brilliant light exploded between the Food God and Nine Colored Goddess, a ray of intense white light. Within the burst of light, the figures of the two descended gods grew illusory when illuminated. The white pillar of light blasted down, heavily striking the wound on Tang San’s chest.

Tang San’s body trembled violently under the white light, every muscle spasming. Serpents of white lightning spread from that white light to every part of the corpse, extending to every corner of Tang San’s body. Enormous energy condensed in the air, and golden light could be glimpsed in Tang San’s chest, the originally clogged veins were unblocked, and golden blood splattered everywhere.

The blood only splashed for an instant, and was then swallowed by the white light. Nobody could clearly see the wound any longer. Tang San’s whole body was covered by tht strange white shine.

The Food God and Nine Colored Goddess were frowning, their hands rendered completely white by the light. Next to the Food God, rings of yellow light could be seen constantly rising from beneath his feet, condensing above him and then pouring into his hands. And the Nine Colored Goddess was also constantly donating energy, only the light had nine colors.

This white light was without a doubt the light of resurrection that Oscar and Ning Rongrong described before, Tang San’s last hope. The longer this light of resurrection lasted, the greater the chance for Tang San’s resurrection was.

Sure enough, illuminated by that white light, the muscles at Tang San’s chest wound was quickly starting to pull together. The first place this happened really wasn’t the mortally wounded heart, but rather the other wound from the Rakshasa Devil Scythe, that wound was twisting and squirming, traces of purple black energy constantly being pushed out. As that energy met the white light, everyone outside could hear mournful shrieks as it disappeared bit by bit.

It was also at this moment that the ice chill that had previously disappeared from Xiao Wu rushed back in an instant without warning. Even with Xiao Wu’s willpower, this sudden pain nearly broke her guard. Her nerves were already wound tightly, guarding against any possible incident outside. This sudden intense cold was filled with immense slaughter intent. In order to keep herself from making a sound due to pain, Xiao Wu quickly took a step back, raising her right arm and biting down hard on it. Her whole body was trembling from the pain, but no matter what she wouldn’t let herself make a sound. She wouldn’t allow Tang San’s resurrection to be disturbed by her.

As this icy chill surged out, whether Xiao Wu or anyone else, nobody noticed a faint red light quietly spread from Xiao Wu’s feet, blending into the ground of the Jialing Pass marshal office hall.

The red light spread slowly, while Xiao Wu was enduring the attack of the cold the whole time, but changes appeared outside of the hall.

Right now, the entire Heaven Dou Empire’s million men were facing the Marshal hall and silently praying. They suddenly saw a ray of red light in that direction. The light wasn’t intense, but it completely enveloped the building.

“Do you see, what’s that?”
A soldier cried out.

“What are you asking for? It’s definitely a sign the lord Seagod is about to resurrect. Hurry up and pray for the lord Seagod. The lord Seagod paid so much for the Empire, we have to pray sincerely for him. This is for ourselves and our families as well.”

It was also just as this red light had wrapped up the hall that, inside, that dome covering Oscar, Ning Rongrong and Tang San collapsed with a loud bang, instantly filling the hall with surging divine power.

“Not good.”
Grandmaster and Tang Hao were instantly terrified. Everything around them had become white. They wanted to act, but discovered that they unexpectedly couldn’t budge within that light. They couldn’t even see the people next to them.

Xiao Wu was also on alert, but strangely, she discovered that she wasn’t truly worried, only that terrifying slaughter intent still stormed in her heart. Xiao Wu’s teeth were already lodged deeply in the flesh of her arm, but she still didn’t make a sound, letting the cold run havoc within her, and she was still constantly praying for Tang San’s resurrection.

The golden barrier shattering could only mean that Oscar and Ning Rongrong no longer had the spare strength to have the barrier keep their presence from being exposed. Grandmaster, Tang Hao and the others were of course worried, concerned that the energy would appear outside and draw Bibi Dong here.

But in fact, while the inside of the hall had instantly turned white, this white was completely unable to break through the red barrier that had just formed outside and was completely held inside, showing not the slightest hint outside.

The Spirit Empire camp.

Sitting upright in a tent, Bibi Dong was slowly mending her mind. Her wounds were worse than anyone imagined. Actually, the energy she released after killing Tang San was more a bluff, practically using the last bit of her divine sense to control. If at that time the Heaven Dou Empire’s powers had attacked they might really have managed to kill her. But Bibi Dong her too well. She’d used the excuse of giving Grandmaster face, and brought Qian Renxue and Hu Liena back to the tent. At that time she had felt that her mind was on the verge of collapse. The attack Tang San had launched at death’s door was too terrifying, Bibi Dong’s mind had been crushed, and Bibi Dong had relied on her second spirit, in other words now her second mind, and then barely managed to pull back her damaged mind to her body, temporarily controlling her body and thereby surviving. The three days she supposedly gave the Heaven Dou Empire to consider was more accurately for herself and Qian Renxue. As long as she had three days, she and Qian Renxue’s injuries would heal, and then the Heaven Dou Empire would be in the bag.

Now, Bibi Dong suddenly opened her eyes from her soul mending state, a ray of purple light flashing from her eyes. Under her full attention, her mind had already recovered somewhat.

“The presence disappeared? That Rakshasa divine intent I left on Tang San is gone. That means the Seagod’s divine intent has completely dissipated. Tang San, oh Tang San, your mind truly was powerful, your mind lasted this long before dissipating even after taking my attack and being killed. Unfortunate, truly unfortunate.”

Her bluish malevolent face expressed a vivid trace of regret, and Bibi Dong said to herself, “Tang San’s talent was indeed above mine, facing two gods at the same time and still nearly killing us. I really can’t compare to his wisdom and power. Just a little more and I would have died along with him. Unfortunately, you still died by my hand.”

Closing her eyes again, Bibi Dong showed a hint of a relieved smile. To her mind, Tang San was completely dead. Since the trace of Rakshasa divine intent hadn’t given any warning, she believed she could mend her mind at ease. In three days she’d go to Jialing Pass to collect the entire Heaven Dou Empire.

Bibi Dong had no idea that, in order to hide from her, there were currently the presence of three gods in the marshal hall of Jialing Pass, not only dissolving her divine intent, but even forcefully isolating it from the world.

Tang San’s wound from the Rakshasa Devil Scythe slowly knitted together, the muscle and bones underneath recovering at a visible pace underneath. After the Rakshasa divine intent the scythe had left in his body was purified, the wound closed completely.

Next was the crucial part. Bibi Dong had burst Tang San’s heart and it had to be rebuilt and adjusted to his body to give him a chance to resurrect.

By now the white light that had fused from the hands of the Food God and Nine Colored Goddess had risen to a fixed point. Enveloped in white light, the muscles around that massive injury were squirming, meridians digging through the wiggling flesh to form stable channels.

The golden meridians seemed extremely bizarre, containing abnormally immense energy, and with practically with each energy wave, those channels would extend a bit, slowly fusing together.

The Food God’s yellow color and the Nine Colored Goddess’ multicolor was slowly growing duller and duller, and the rings of light rising from beneath them thinner. Clearly, Ning Rongrong and Oscar’s spirit fusion ability was nearly out of energy.

The reason they could launch this spirit fusion ability, besides the flash of comprehension, was the affinity of their spirits. When they obtained the last spirit ring, each obtained a chance at divine inheritance. But they had no idea that the Food God and Nine Color Goddess were one of the few married couples in  the divine realm. After they accepted the inheritance of the two gods, their originally unrelated spirits also naturally developed god level affinity, so called hundred percent perfect affinity. Otherwise, how would they be able to use a spirit fusion ability to draw down the descent of two gods?

Actually, in terms of divine position, Ning Rongrong benefited from Oscar’s light. The Food God would inevitably choose Oscar since he was the first food type Title Douluo of the Douluo Continent. But the Nine Color Goddess wasn’t necessarily going to pick Ning Rongrong. Even if her talent was good and her spirit powerful, it wasn’t to the degree of making the inheritance compulsory. Only if her spirit reached rank ninety nine would there be a chance. The reason the Nine Color Goddess chose her was mainly because the Food God picked Oscar. As his wife, of course she couldn’t let her husband pass on his inheritance alone. The couple would only pass on their divinity to another couple, so that they could continue in the divine realm without separating.

Of course, there were still some other reasons Oscar and Ning Rongrong could draw down two divine descents to launch the light of resurrection. But no matter what factors influenced the start of this god level light of resurrection, Oscar and Ning Rongrong’s own spirit fusion ability energy wouldn’t change. In other words, if their energy ultimately couldn’t last to the end, Tang San still wouldn’t be resurrected. How could resurrecting a god be easy?

Seagod Island.

The seven sacred pillar guardian Douluo were all gathered atop Seagod Mountain, each sitting upright on a platform.

These seven Title Douluo had felt the moment Tang San was killed by Bibi Dong, since the trace of divine intent Tang San had left on Seagod Island had disappeared. What could remove the marks left by a god besides death? The seven sacred pillar guardian Douluo had gathered on Seagod Mountain in alarm. But before they could start discussing, they had suddenly sensed ripples in the Seagod’s divine intent.

Under these circumstances, the seven Douluo had immediately understood. Seadragon Douluo sat on the central dais where Tang San had undergone the Seagod’s inheritance, the other six Douluo each sat on one of the other platforms. These seven ocean Douluo each emitted a layer of blue light. This wasn’t energy Tang San had assigned them, but rather energy they possessed since the moment they became the guardians of the seven sacred pillars.

The blue lights each flew in separate directions, and in an instant, intense golden rays of light rose from seven different places on Seagod Island, shooting towards the sky, the seven lights merged in midair, forming a sphere of light like the sun.

The entire Seagod Island immediately turned golden, special energy waves suddenly discharging from the land, towards every corner of the ocean.

This was the Seagod’s call, the ultimate defensive ability left on the island by the Seagod. Only in moments of mortal crisis could the high priest lead the seven sacred pillar guardian Douluo to release the ability.

But right now Seadragon Douluo wasn’t having them launch this ultimate defensive ability for the sake of defense, but rather a call. A call to every creature in the ocean to pray for the Seagod.

Back when the Seagod took his place, faith had been born in the creatures of the ocean. Their faith was undoubtedly a tonic for the Seagod’s divine intent.

The first to join in on this prayer was the Devil Spirit Great White Shark community led by Xiao Bai. The stronger the praying sea creature was, the stronger the prayer. The pious faith of the Devil Spirit Great White Sharks immediately poured into the golden defensive light on Seagod Island, turning into the purest soul waves as it reached the peak of Seagod Mountain. As this power poured into that trace of divine intent Tang San left, it immediately showed new ripples.

This was just the beginning, the declaration of Tang San becoming Seagod had spread to every corner of the ocean, and even without the declaration, the beings of the sea finally had faith again after so many years, how could they not be faithful to the Seagod?

If there was a god that could observe the ocean from above right now, he might discover circles of golden light quickly condensing on the Seagod Island from all directions of the sea. This golden light was the countless prayers of the billions of living beings in the ocean.

Their prayers for the Seagod used their faith to strengthen the Seagod’s trace of divine intent.

It was also at this moment that the final stage of Tang San’s resurrection came in Jialing Pass.

Oscar and Ning Rongrong’s true forms were already showing within the ghosts of the descended gods, and the Food God and Nine Color Goddess’ divine power was also gradually separating from them. The energy of the spirit fusion ability was close to exhausted, about to disappear.

At the same time, the enormous wound in Tang San’s chest was already partly healed, and a golden heart could gradually be seen forming within. Each artery was connecting to it, finally joining together……
