Evolution’s End: Wild Cards Leaving Standard this Thursday
Hearthstone CM Chris Attalus posted to r/hearthstone today confirming that the Wild cards are rotating out of Standard this Thursday, Dec. 5th.

Battlegrounds Patch coming December 5
- Rafaam confirmed by Mike Donais in Slysssa’s stream, coming December 5th
- Likely include new card King Bagurgle, as well as Floating Watcher
- The previous patch blog post also mentioned Hero balancing and rotation, will we see more than Rafaam on Thursday? Will someone rotate out?
Donais also took to reddit
- 3 new heroes.
- Balancing some old heroes.
- 2 new minions.
- Amalgam change isn't until January.
- Balance Lightfang to +2/+1.
- Version 1 of stats page. Version 2 is January or February.
- Patch notes will be out on Dec 5th most likely.
Hero Fight Rotation
- In the same reddit thread Balencedrago asked: “Are you still changing hero fight rotation to can't fight the same person again in two turns???? That's the biggest one to a lot of people.”
- Yes, but not in the dec 5th patch.

Need to wait and see if there are going to be more duplicating effects. Right now it’s expensive and gimmicky. Maybe in Priest with or instead of Obelisks? But probably just bad. | Probably not worth a spot over ooze or Harrison but fully upgraded Galakronds give weapons so have to see how meta shakes out. | If a deck like Big Spell Mage exists in an aggro heavy meta this might be an interesting tech card, though it might still be too slow cause you’ll, you know, die |
