Equally mysterious as she is oblivious, Nebbi seems like she can see through you at a glance, yet somehow remains emotionally realms away. Nebbi is a distant, complex woman wearing a face as one more doting and confident. She's exceptionally observant and equally silver-tongued, with a knack for knowing what people want to hear and using it to her advantage. A great listener, Nebbi makes for good company when in need of an unbiased ear.

        Inversely, Nebbi’s a control freak who wears her heart under her sleeve and keeps her true self under lock and key. Her life seems to revolve around her career, seeing little worth in meddling with affairs that she has no responsibility for. When asked about local news, she’s decidedly clueless.

'Nie Biyu' was born and raised in Yue Song, she was an only child in a financially stable household with loving parents who carried equally outstanding crime coefficients. Sheltered and naive, Nebbi's main focus had always been her education, subsequently growing up with few friends and her nose forever buried in novels. 'Nie Biyu' was merely a product intended to make her parents proud, and she certainly tried. She did.

Entering high school, with a heart molded by fiction, Nebbi takes a liking to one of her upperclassmen, Zhaolin; an infatuation, even. He was only one grade above her, and upon working up the confidence to introduce herself to him, they soon began dating. In school, she always seemed to be glued by his side, she studied near him and spent free periods in his classroom. Everything was sweet and simple until Zhaolin's senior year. He didn't want to go through university, and he wanted Nebbi to follow him. It was the worst decision of her life, and the fact that she agreed to drop her dreams of higher education left her parents distraught.

Upon graduating high school, Nebbi moved in with Zhaolin, where he worked full-time for a construction company in Yue Song. She takes on a waitressing job to help tie up loose ends for a while, but Zhaolin suddenly earns a promotion, and convinces Nebbi to resign and merely cook and clean at home. It doesn't take long for the little naive Nebbi to grow curious about Zhaolin's career; she finds garbage and mail at home that tests her faith in her partner, but she remains ignorant. It gets worse, and worse, he doesn't come home some nights, but she keeps her mouth shut.

She was fine until she wasn't. While organizing the house, Nebbi finds polaroid-style photos in Zhaolin's wallet; himself with another woman. Something snapped that day, and even though she tried for months after that to convince herself it wasn’t true, she eventually loses her composure, causes a scene, and she hasn’t seen him again since then.

Now separated, Nebbi has been attending therapy sessions for the past 8 years to ease her crime coefficient, despite how it will never return to how pristine it had been in her childhood. She’s since reconnected with her parents and was helped back to her feet financially, and now sustains herself with her own business.
