  1. Officer Updates
  1. Eric(Communications Officer):
  1. Thanks for coming out last Wednesday with headshots! Be sure to submit your bio information.
  1. Sam(Government Relations Officer):
  1. Working on setting up an application for a paid lobbyist to sit in the next legislative session.
  1. Taite(Ethic Officer):
  1. Code change 01 has been updated onto the website and the attendance system has been updated.
  1. Kayla(Associate Vice President of Organizational Affairs):
  1. Funding board heard three grants last Friday, going to hear three more this Friday, 51,729.33 left in the direct grant account
  1. Graf(Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs):
  1. Met with the provost and discussed academic advising. The Faculty Senate was yesterday, no significant updates. The Sustainability Committee had a couple of guests, including an engineering group working on an addition for the sustainability center and a youth climate summit board representative. Lastly, congrats to Aidan, our Senate Dean Relations Chair.
  1. Sarah(Vice President):
  1. Thank you to everyone for coming out for the Mobile Food Pantry! We were able to feed so many families. Launching a Pony-Up campaign on November 1st, matching the first $1000 in donations, there is a Dogs of Boise State calendar as well that you can receive if you donate $30 or more
  1. New Business
  1. Strategic Plan Update from Dr. Finstuen and Dr. Hansen
  1. All last year was a process of putting together admission goals and strategies, one of the biggest changes they made was that they put student success in the front
  2. This summer they had some budget work, but this fall they have been able to implement the plans. They have a Thriving Community committee that has student representation on it; working on a Student Success and Retention plan

  1. Graf wanted to touch base with everyone and see how we were doing as a Senate; Graf has been trying to define how we can interact with the deans; wanted to see if we wanted to wait to try and organize time with the deans or if we wanted to try and organize it ourselves
  1. Aidan said it might be beneficial to do both at the same time and it would increase our chances of success in terms of actually getting to meet with them and discuss our respective colleges

  3. Graf, Sarah, and Kenny have been discussing the possibility for hybrid meetings next semester please let them know if you have any input
