PaTSO Executive Board Meeting Highlights

The PaTSO Executive Board met to discuss planning for the crucial Buzz Bucks Fundraiser, address important administrative and compliance issues, and plan the migration to our new digital home.

1. Focus: The 2025 Buzz Bucks Campaign

The Board's top priority is ensuring the success of the 2025 Buzz Bucks campaign, which raises funds directly supporting student and teacher initiatives.

• Campaign Strategy: To encourage higher levels of local business support this year, we plan to lower the top sponsorship tiers back to their original amounts and will focus on increasing the benefits businesses receive.
• Timeline: We are targeting an initial fundraising deadline of October 31st to ensure we capture charitable giving before the end of the calendar year.
• Communication: James Stone (Treasurer) will lead communications with our business sponsors, while the Board works to create a new campaign flyer and ensures we use all school channels (the Henley Buzz and Henley Families Facebook group) for promotion. Kelly Williams (Secretary) will obtain access to our newly created facebook page as well as the existing instagram account to increase our audience and provide another platform for sponsor promotion.

2. Administrative & Digital Updates

• Website Migration: We are moving our website from the old platform to our new, dedicated PATSO.org domain to improve security and internal organization. James Stone is leading this effort.
• Meeting Minutes: For increased transparency, Kelly Williams (Secretary) will ensure a high-level summary of our meetings is posted promptly on the website.
• Financial Compliance: The Board is working diligently to confirm the status of our 2023/2024 tax filings to ensure we maintain our non-profit status. We are taking steps to resolve this issue and strengthen our financial administration moving forward.
• Student Support: The Board approved funding for a Library Honorarium to help bring a guest author to the school, benefiting our students directly.
