MID-TERM TEST

TASK 1

Given in the maps is information on how a school has evolved from năm nào till năm nào.

Overall, the school has modernised and expanded to support a growing student population.

As can be seen from the maps, the student population has tăng (V3-ed) hây giảm (V3-ed) from nhiêu to nhiêu, leading to major infrastructure changes.

In năm nào, the school had a relatively simple layout with một bãi đậu xe, một văn phòng, một thư viện, một tòa nhà lớp học với 2 tầng, and some separate những lớp học. A large area was occupied by the những sân chơi.

Currently, the school has expanded considerably. The tòa nhà lớp học has been extended to 3 tầng, and additional classrooms have been added. The thư viện has been replaced by một hồ bơi and một trung tâm thể hình. Một trung tâm học liệu mới and phòng máy tính have been built near the văn phòng. The bãi đậu xe is now larger and redesigned with a curved layout. The size of the những sân chơi has been reduced to accommodate the new buildings.

TASK 2 

Paraphrasing “job applicants’ social skills are more important than their academic qualifications (kỹ năng xã hội của ứng viên xin việc quan trọng hơn trình độ học vấn của họ)”:

• job applicants: candidates, prospective employees, job seekers, applicants for a work position, employment candidates
• social skills: interpersonal abilities, communication skills, people skills, social competence, interaction skills
• is/are more important than: hold(s) greater significance than, is/are considered more valuable than, is/are regarded as more crucial than, is/are given more priority than, is/are viewed as more essential than
• academic qualifications: educational credentials, academic achievements, scholarly background, educational attainments, formal education

Agree:

1. Strong social skills enable employees to communicate effectively, fostering better teamwork and collaboration (Kỹ năng xã hội vững vàng giúp nhân viên giao tiếp hiệu quả, thúc đẩy tinh thần làm việc nhóm và hợp tác tốt hơn).
2. Good communication and relationship-building skills can enhance customer satisfaction and business growth (Kỹ năng giao tiếp và xây dựng mối quan hệ tốt có thể nâng cao sự hài lòng của khách hàng và thúc đẩy sự phát triển của doanh nghiệp).

Disagree:

1. Academic qualifications demonstrate a candidate's knowledge base and intellectual capability relevant to the job (Trình độ học vấn thể hiện nền tảng kiến thức và năng lực trí tuệ của ứng viên liên quan đến công việc).
2. Many technical roles require specialized education that social skills alone cannot compensate for (Nhiều vị trí kỹ thuật đòi hỏi trình độ chuyên môn mà chỉ kỹ năng xã hội thôi thì không thể bù đắp được).

It is generally believed that job applicants’ social skills are more important than their academic qualifications (nhìn lên trên để biến thái ạ). While there exists a logical foundation for such a perspective, I am inclined to believe that the converse holds equal merit.

On the one hand, it is a fact beyond dispute that there is a rationale for the given viewpoint. Firstly, luận điểm 1. What is meant by this is that biện giải. Secondly, luận điểm 2. A recently conducted study has shown that biện giải.

On the other hand, I still maintain that the reverse also holds. Central to such point of view is the argument that luận điểm 1. To put it differently, biện giải. Another key reason for defending this position is that luận điểm 2. Contemporary studies have suggested that biện giải.

To conclude then, my unshakable conviction is that diễn đạt lại chiều hướng DISAGREE (so với những kĩ năng xã hội, những học thuật ones đóng hơn quan trọng vai trò trong quy trình kiếm việc).
