Exciting Opportunity: The FAFSA (application for Federal Student Aid) comes out on December 31st, 2023. Please mark your calendars for our FAFSA Workshop from 5:30pm-7:00pm on Wednesday, January 10th. The College Success Team will also hold FAFSA office hours from 1:30pm-4:00pm every Wednesday in January.

College Corner: Record admissions decisions on your Overgrad profile. Monitor your personal email account daily for communications from colleges or technical programs.

Our next rep visit is with Yale University on Monday, January 8th from 12:00pm-1:00pm. Use this Google Form to sign up - space is limited to 20 spots.

Scholarship Support: 

  1. Look into this opportunity from the Denver Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. This scholarship is for African American women who are seeking a college degree or a technical licensure.

  1. Apply for the $60,000 Hagan Scholarship by December 1st. Make sure to check out the eligibility requirements, including the GPA (3.5+) and household income.

Sign Up for Junior Family Meeting (see your emails/families should check their Reachwell Messages- only available through 12/15!)

Exciting Opportunity: Consider the CU Boulder EngiNearMe program. This is a FREE one week STEM experience at CU Boulder (in early June) for rising seniors. Though the application is not open yet, please check out the program description. If you are interested, reach out to Ms. Ellis.

Prep Academy (Freshman + Sophomore) Corner

Exciting Opportunity: Sign up for the Minds Matter program, which is a college-access nonprofit that connects driven and determined students (3.25+ GPA)  from low-income families with postsecondary preparation resources.

College Prep Resources: Apply for the 2024 High School High Scholar Summer Program. This is a summer STEM program specifically for low-income scholars going into the 10th grade. Learn more about the program here then apply here.
