DrMC Kentucky Regional
The DrMC (Dr. Mario Championship) is extremely happy to return to the Louisville Arcade Expo in Louisville Kentucky for the 2026 DrMC Kentucky Regional. The Dr. Mario competitive scene is celebrating 10 years and the Kentucky Regional is one of our premiere events of the circuit.
The cost of entry will be $10. The signup period will be on Saturday March 28th from 10am to 11am and the tournament will begin at 11:30am. This year’s regional will not feature qualifying rounds. Every player who enters will be placed into a double-elimination bracket. DrMC veteran players will be seeded to ensure fair matchups while new players will be randomly placed elsewhere into the bracket.
In early rounds, the game will be set to Level 11/MED Speed. Matches will be a best-of-five set of games (crowns). Once the double elim bracket is reduced to 16 players, matches will be played at Level 14/HI Speed.
All matches will be a traditional best 3-out-of-5 game/crown format
The winner of the DrMC Kentucky Regional will get free admission to the 2026 DrMC Grand Championship, a cash prize and a killer trophy!
Sunday side event
On Sunday, DrMC will host a Tetris/Dr. Mario Mixed match competition on the Super NES. The tournament format will be TBD depending on the number of entrants. Entry fee is $2 and tickets will be purchased from the Louisville Arcade Expo front desk.
