The LMS PTO “Feed the Shark” Cash Campaign is a no-hassle cash campaign that could eliminate or reduce the need for commercial-based fundraising drives and allows the school to enhance the school experience for every student.

This year, Lakeside’s PTO has decided to run a donation campaign that requires NO SELLING of any goods or services. What does this mean for you? It means that more of your money GOES DIRECTLY TO PTO SPONSORED DONATIONS AND EVENTS!  NO AMOUNT IS TOO GREAT OR TOO SMALL! Every penny counts! For example, your $7 donation could feed lunch for one day to a teacher during teacher appreciation week, $20 could cover a set of emergency ponchos for our walkers, $75 could reimburse one teacher for classroom materials.

Where does the PTO’s money go?

In past years, Lakeside Middle’s PTO has been able to provide funds for staff, students and faculty to purchase and support the following types of items/events:

• Tutoring fund for underserved families
• Student supplies (consumable supplies, school nurse materials)
• Classroom technology that can be shared among teachers (i.e. Mimio boards)
• Curriculum enhancement (i.e. – hydroponic tank for science)
• Teacher Appreciation  (lunches, snacks, and treats)
