Fundraising - Raise Right 

ROLE TITLE: 

• Coordinator

ROLE CATEGORY:  Fundraising Team

BRIEF OVERVIEW:  Raise Right is a fundraiser St. Paul rolled out in 2017.  Families purchase gift cards or egift cards and a portion of that money comes back to Saint Paul.

DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Business Manager

LENGTH OF SERVICE:  A new coordinator stepped forward in Fall of 2022.

PREREQUISITES:  No

Current Background Check required? No

GIFTS / TALENTS HELPFUL FOR THIS ROLE:  

• Good to be a bit tech-saavy - text, email, website, phone apps.
• Good communication skills, write copy for advertising and explaining the program
• Responsive and friendly

ROLE SPECIFIC DETAILS:  Leader orders,

1. Advertise and support families with questions

1. Use school and church newsletters so customers are aware of deadlines to order physical gift cards and when to expect pick up.
2. Take advantage of marketing materials from Raise Right’s website.
3. Can set up a booth at church or school periodically
4. Send home flyers and put articles in church/school newsletters

2. Review and Place orders

1. Follow up to get payment and remind the customer to pay and note it is for Scrip/Raise Right.  Talk to the church bookkeeper to cover the order and notify them when the customer submits a check.
2. Follow instructions on website to place the order.  When placing the order they will ask for the pin from the coordinator.
3. Note: some people will order physical gift cards on the app or online to be sent to the coordinator.  In this case only distribution of the cards is necessary.

3. Process and Distribute orders

1. Audit the order to make sure all the cards are accounted for.
2. Put orders in individual envelopes
3. Text/email or call patron the night before the drop off at the church or school office to notify them their order is coming.
