INTRODUCTION

You’ll be leading a team of 2 Room leads, 3 Workshop room assistants and 2 Green room assistants and contribute to the smooth running of the sessions and workshops during WordCamp Europe 2018.

We encourage you to reach out to the Room leads,  Workshop room assistants and Green room assistants on your shift before the event to get to know each other and to make sure they have read the work instructions related to their role and that they can ask questions about it. The Room leads have to get familiar with the different roles on their team they will be leading.

You can check who’s on your team by selecting the room assigned to you in the category “Job Sites” and/or by selecting the roles mentioned above in the category “Positions”.

You’ll work also closely with the Volunteers organizer team to keep them updated.

DURING THE EVENT

If anyone of the Room leads, Workshop rooms assistants or Green room assistants reaches out to you with an issue, you will have to decide if this is a problem that you can solve on your own or if you have to get the area lead (@caroleo) involved. The area lead will be available during all day and move between tracks, workshops and the Volunteers Headquarter.

Your are going to be the connector between the room staff and the organizers.

These are your main tasks during your shift:

A tight communication with the Room leads, Workshop room assistants and the Volunteers organizer team, to who you are reporting to, is necessary.

Before you shift starts, we ask you to meet the Room leads, Workshop room assistants and Green room assistants and to give them briefly some instructions about their roles.
