Tuition/Fees

Monthly tuition fees must be paid in full by the 1st of every month; a late fee will be charged; if tuition is not paid in full by the 5th of the month, a $10 late fee will be added and dancers may not be allowed to attend class(s)-no exceptions.

All account balances must be current prior to a student's participation in class.

LATE FEES/RETURNED CHECK FEES: 

Accepted Forms of Payment:  Credit Cards, Debit, checks.  

Please note each parent is responsible for making payments on time PRIOR to class and communicating with the studio PRIOR to class to make payment. ICE STUDIOS has the right to refuse service for non payment and non communication prior to child attending class.  

Autopay: (Preferred method of payment) You have the option of joining AUTOPAY , where we will run your credit card automatically  on the 1st of each month to cover ALL charges on your account.   You can set up AUTO PAY in your parent portal. Must follow Autopay policies (declined cards are subject to $10 late fee) (Please see Auto bill policy in parent portal) PLEASE CONTACT THE STUDIO IF YOU MAKE A PAYMENT PRIOR TO US DOING THE AUTOPAY OR YOU WILL BE DOUBLED CHARGED.

TUITION:

I.S.S.O.D.  is a "paperless"studio; all tuition is due on the  1st of every month on. Tuition must be paid in full by the 1st of every month; if tuition is not paid in full by the 5th of the month, a $10 late fee will be added and dancer may not be allowed to attend class(s)-no exceptions. No refunds will be given for holidays or student absences. Yearly tuition is broken into 8 equal monthly payments.  Students will be dropped after three weeks of due date if no communication, payment arrangement  or payment is made.

Therefore, holidays and breaks have already been figured into your monthly payments and will not constitute a make-up. ILLNESS: If a dancer is sick or becomes injured, monthly tuition will still be charged and a credit will be waiting for them upon returning to dance class. If you want to DROP a class, you must complete an add/drop form located in the office 14 days prior to the end of the month in order to not be charged tuition for the following month.

All Drop Requests must be turned in by email or in writing from the primary person on the child's accounts.  I.S.S.O.D. will drop a dancer automatically if they have not attended classes or no payment has been made 3 weeks after the due date..

Right to Cancel: I.S.S.O.D.  reserves the right to cancel any class due to lack of enrollment. Alternate classes will be offered to those who signed up for that class. I.S.S.O.D.  I.S.S.O. has the right to refuse service to anyone who's not able to follow policy and procedures, who is unruly , bullying, disrespectful,rude  and willing not to pay for services rendered.

Costume Fees: RECITAL TICKET IS NOT INCLUDED

The costume fee is due by November 5, 2022. You will see this amount on your account once you are enrolled in classes. A monthly payment option is available. You must make arrangements with the studio by November 5th. All payment arrangements must have a card on file.

4 Costumes-  $320

Includes: 4 Costumes, (1)Tight(girls)/Sock(boys), (1)Ice Studio Shirt, & Accessories

Disclaimer: Failure to pay costume fees, monthly tuition, and any late fees in a timely manner will result in students not participating in recitals, rehearsals, and receiving costumes.  Late fees and a shipping fee per costume will apply to accounts not paid on the due date. Ice Studios is not responsible if payment is late and the costume is no longer available.  

If you do need payment arrangements, you must speak with Ice Dance Studios to set them up. A card must be on file

Costume Fees:

November will be the last month to make any changes to your account, switch classes, add a class, etc. Students will try on costumes as they arrive. Costumes are not custom fit. Parents are responsible for any adjustments needed. Extra fee for costumes 2x or larger. Shipping fee due per costume if paid late.  We will return costumes if no payment is made. The return fee + extra shipping fee will be the responsibility of the parent if they want to reorder the costume.

A Sample Monthly Payment Schedule:

September fee:  1st-month class fee + one-time registration at the time of enrollment.   (If class fee & one-time registration is paid prior to September you will not need to make a payment)

Oct 1: Class fee due.

Nov 1: Class fee due +Full Costume fee due (If you need payment arrangement, you must speak with Ice Studio School of Dance, and a valid card must be on file)

Dec 1:Class fee due

Jan 6, 2022: Class fee due

Feb 1, 2022: Class fee due

March 1, 2022 Class fee due

April 1, 2022: Class fee due

If you have a payment arrangement set up for costume fees, this will be in addition to the class fee due.

GUIDELINES & STUDENT POLICY:

All I.S.S.O.D. Parents, Guardians & Students enrolled at our studio agree to the following...

ICE STUDIOS SCHOOL OF DANCE  does not provide refunds of any kind, for any reason, including illness, injury, relocation, vacation, missed classes, school work, disinterest etc,. This policy applies to any studio fees; registration fees, recitals, costumes, tuition and more. No refunds will be given - No exceptions.

STUDENT ATTENDANCE:

In order for students to progress in class, regular attendance is extremely important. If a student is going to be absent, please contact I.S.S.O.D. and let us know. Each class is designed to give students a balanced workout. In order to be warmed up and prevent injury, please arrive on time. Tardy students will be asked to warm themselves up before participating in class. If a student is more than 15 minutes late to class, they may be asked to sit out for the entire class.

CHECK IN:

Please log into the Parent Portal to check your child in. 

Upon entering the building, each student will have to sanitize their hands and get their temperature taken. Masks are optional but subject to change.

Please enter at the parking lot door and exit out the studio door.  Please do not drop off students more than 10 minutes early.  

Please wait in the car and enter closer to class time. If no one is at the front desk, please wait until the teacher lets the students in.  

Please make an appointment prior to class to ask questions.

Please make payments online.  

Dress Code:

Students must be in proper dancewear

Students WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN CLASS IF NOT IN PROPER Dancewear or dance shoes.

(Students will be given three warnings)  Please check the donation bin for extra clothes.

MAKE-UP CLASSES:

No Make up classes available. Contact studio about private lesson rates and availability.  

INCLEMENT WEATHER

ICE STUDIOS DANCE will closely follow the Kansas City Public School District's's decision for canceling school and classes. If the Kansas City Public School District calls for early dismissal due to weather and/or cancels their evening classes and activities, we will be closed.  If roads are not clear to access the facility then classes will be canceled. If there is a late opening or delay our classes will meet as scheduled. If you have questions or if you are uncertain about whether classes will be held please call #816-500-4140. We do not pro-rate or deduct from Tuition due to weather, however, we will do our best to have make-up classes.

TEACHER ABSENCE:

If your child's teacher is absent from class, a substitute teacher will teach that class. If a substitute is not available, the class would have to be made up on a different day.

CELL PHONES:

All cell phones should be turned off. Cell phone usage is not allowed during class time.

Fundraisers:

Need funds for class? Sign up for the Baseball/Football Fundraiser.

Dates June 2022 to September 2022.

In order to participate in the program, volunteers are REQUIRED to attend orientation annually.

*Minor volunteers are required to attend orientation with a parent or legal guardian. This is non-negotiable. Minors without a parent or legal guardian present for policy & procedure will not be permitted to attend the session.

Scholarships will be available based on additional funds received.

RECITALS & REHEARSALS:

Our annual recitals are held in April and sometimes in May. On the day of the Recital, I.S.S.O.D.  will have 2 to 3 shows (Depends on the number of students) . Dancers will be assigned to their specific performance. If your dancer would like to participate in the show, please look for recital contracts that will be sent home during enrollment. Once costumes are ordered, there will be no refunds and costume balances must be paid.

Dress rehearsal will be one week before the show. This rehearsal is MANDATORY!   Dancers and parents will receive important detailed information about the auditorium, final bow, dressing rooms, and back stage as we approach the recital dates.  

PHOTOGRAPHY:

Photography or videotaping students and classes in progress is strictly prohibited and will not be allowed without permission.

Photoshoot

Professional pictures with student costumes, recital flyer and studio group pic will be taken at TBA on a completely separate day from the recital. Pictures will be taken on SEE CALENDAR.  Group and individual photos will be available. It is MANDATORY for every dancer to attend their selected time slot for photographs even if they are not purchasing pictures.  The group photos are very important to the camaraderie of each class.

CHOREOGRAPHY:

Any dance choreographed by any instructor at I.S.S.O.D.  is the sole property of I.S.S.O.D. and cannot be used anywhere other than performances and events coordinated by I.S.S.O.D.  (unless permission is given by I.S.S.O.D.  in writing).

WAITING AREA:

There is limited space available for waiting. Parents are welcome to wait in the waiting room if space is available. We ask parents to drop off students and pick them up after class. Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed to stay in the waiting area.  Students who have back-to-back classes are welcome to stay.  

OBSERVERS:

Doors to studios may be closed while a class is in session. Instructors reserve the right to close the studio blinds in order to gain classroom attention. Parents, students, siblings, families or friends  may not interrupt or enter class during instruction or while class is in progress. Parents will be able to watch class during their assigned watch week.

BEFORE & AFTER CLASS:

Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before class without a parent; and students must be checked in and out.  Please use the Parent Portal to check students in.  Students should be picked up no later than 10 minutes after their class or rehearsal ends. Instructors are busy teaching other classes and are not responsible for those students who are not in class. Students are not allowed to wait early  in classes while other classes are in session.

Children should not be left unsupervised. Once a student enters the school for class, he or she is not allowed to leave the premises, for any reason, until an authorized person picks them up. The school will not be responsible for any student who leaves the premises without permission. Unsportsmanlike conduct and/or inappropriate behavior will be grounds for dismissal, without refund, at the discretion of the instructor(s). Dancers may bring from home, non-messy snacks (no peanuts or peanut butter, please). If a dancer is not picked within 15 mins after class ending  a $7 fee will be charged.

COMMUNICATION:

It is extremely important to have open communication with parents and guardians. If you have any questions or concerns please get in touch with us! The best way to communicate with I.S.S.O.D.  is through email at info@icestudiosdance.org or by phone at 816-500-4140. To receive accurate and prompt service please communicate any issues or concerns within a timely matter.  Any matters dealing with account or payment please contact prior to students arriving to class.

If a parent or student needs to discuss something with an instructor, please email the studio first, and if the issue cannot be resolved, schedule a phone or in-person appointment. Discussions during class are disruptive and delays the next scheduled class. Our goal is for all dancers to enjoy their dancing experience at I.S.S.O.D.

Please check Email, text messages, studio table/bulletin board  Daily for updated info, events, payments due and class changes.  Parent’s Responsibility to be Aware of Dates and Events: It is the responsibility of the parents to be aware of all dance studio activities, such as recitals, opening or closings, and picture days.  Notices are sent through email as well.  Please notify the front desk in writing if your address, email address, or telephone number has change

IMPORTANT NOTE:

In the event the studio has to  cancel class due to C-void, Instructor Absence or building issues, We will continue classes via zoom or offer make up classes.  If students are not able to do zoom classes we will offer Dvd or thumb drive with lessons for students to follow upon request.

Please note the monthly class fee will be still due if service moves to online.  Parents will be responsible for making sure students log in , review videos and practice.  

If students do not want to  participate in classes please notify the studio to drop class or students will be automatically dropped if no payment or participation for 30 days .  Students will not be able to re-enroll until the summer or will have to pay past dues before resigning up.

All ICE STUDIOS SCHOOL OF DANCE  Parents, Students and Staff agree to our I.S.S.O.D. Parent Code of Conduct:

I agree to represent myself as a positive role model and show respect for all involved at I.S.S.O.D.  including parents, teachers and staff. I will respect classroom boundaries. I understand that negative behavior of any sort is not permitted. I agree that Parents and Families of I.S.S.O.D.  are never allowed to use vulgar language, threats or physical altercations. I pledge to be aware of communicating with Instructors. I pledge to be on time and pick my child up when classes are finished. I understand that payments are run online through my account monthly or can be paid in full. I understand that classes are subject to change at any time. I will encourage my child to always have fun! I understand that I.S.S.O.D. dancers are hard working athletes who need to be emotionally healthy, so I will be respectful, positive and supportive! I agree that if I fail to abide by any of these rules listed above that I may be subject to, but not limited by the following disciplinary action: 1. Verbal Warning 2. Suspensions 3. Immediate Dismissal.

Minimum enrollment must be met in order for classes to run. I.S.S.O.D. reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. By enrolling in any class at I.S.S.O.D.  you agree to the following: I have received, or will obtain a copy of I.S.S.O.D.  policies and will take the responsibility to carefully read and follow the rules and policies therein. I understand that I.S.S.O.D. does not give credit and/or refunds for class(es) missed due to holiday, vacation, illness, weather, etc. I further understand that there are specific risks of physical or property damages, losses, or injury that may result from my or my child's participation with I.S.S.O.D. , and I voluntarily assume the risks associated with such participation. I have had sufficient opportunity to read this entire document. I have read and understood it, and I agree to be bound by its terms.

Building Space:

ICE STUDIOS classes are held at 7714 prospects.  ICE STUDIOS has a limited amount of space in the building. The space is a shared space with other tenants, which we have to abide by certain rules when using the space.  Please take note of the following procedures when entering the building:
