Coffee @ Ten: “Crafting a Career in the Arts” with Amy Vos Dillinger

On Tuesday, April 16, join Crooked Tree Arts Center for a Coffee @ Ten lecture entitled “Crafting a Career in the Arts” with Amy Vos Dillinger, Admissions Counselor at Kendall College of Art and Design at Ferris State University (KCAD).

Are you considering art school or a career in the arts? If so, CTAC welcomes you to attend an informative and engaging lecture with Amy Vos Dillinger to learn how an education in fine art or design will help prepare you for your future. Amy will discuss how an arts education can lead to a successful career and highlight job opportunities that will put an arts degree to work. The presentation will be geared towards students in 8th grade and up.

Area schools are invited to bring a group or class to the Tuesday morning lecture. CTAC provides busing scholarships to assist with transportation expenses.

The Youth Arts Awards Night will also occur on April 24, during which, Amy will present KCAD awards and scholarships after having jurored the Youth Art Show.

Join Crooked Tree on Tuesday, May 14 for the upcoming Coffee @ Ten lecture, “Japanese Aesthetics and Art with Mami Takahashi,” where previous Good Hart Artist in Residence Takahashi will illustrate visual examples of the concept of MA, presenting a way of seeing the arts through an eastern perspective.

Coffee @ Ten is sponsored in part by Roast and Toast of Petoskey. The Coffee @ Ten series is free and open to the public, no reservations are necessary, and all lectures begin at 10 a.m.
