Characteristics of Strong Proposals
We will place a priority on proposals for sessions that:
• Have a well developed plan and purpose. Field trips timing is well thought out with transportation times, bus loading/unloading, restroom use, etc.
• Emphasize tried-and-true strategies that are relevant to school garden educators • Include perspectives from youth, people of color, Native and Indigenous communities and historically marginalized voices
• Are structured to be interactive, inclusive, and highly engaging, with abundant opportunities for hands-on learning and peer-to-peer learning
• Establish a sense of community, belonging and dignity through equitable sharing experiences and connections with other participants. - For ideas, visit: https://www.liberatingstructures.com/ • Build upon existing Promising Practices webpages (https://www.sgsonetwork.org/promising practices/) curated by members of the SGSO Network
