The Onalaska's Girls Tennis team is off and hitting, after having been very busy these first three weeks of the season.  The Toppers have compiled a 7-7 record thus far, including 1-2 at the SPASH Invite, 4-1 at the LaCrosse Invite, 1-2 at Green Bay Sweet Sixteen and 1-2 at the Eau Claire Memorial Invitational.  The focus in the early season is to challenge the team with tough competition in order to help them be more prepared for the MVC. All of the girls have been working hard to improve every day of practice, and they hope to make some noise in conference this month. Standouts on the team, as of September 2nd, include:  Alli Laux 11-3 at #1 singles, Faith /Chloe Leithold 7-2 at #1 doubles and Michelle Yoo 8-1 at #3 singles.  The MVC season begins this week with a match Tuesday at Logan, followed by a home tilt against Sparta on Thursday.

JV Football The JV squad ran into a really tough Wildcat team.  Coming off a thrilling win last week, we couldn’t duplicate an awesome comeback.  As a team, we came together in the end and knew we could play better.  Ayden Larson completed a couple throwing touchdowns. One of these touchdowns came late in the 3rd quarter in which Cody Skifton ran past the whole Wildcat defense to score. We play at home again next week vs. Mennonime. -------------------------------------------------------------------------
