What is your plan for getting the city back to work, particularly in its hardest hit sectors? What kind of workforce development programs do you envision that would provide access to communities of color and people with disabilities?

I think that establishing a workforce development network program that helps connect our residents with local jobs that help repair our districts. I believe that this can help our communities of color and people with disabilities. Developing skills and investing in jobs is the way that we move our city forward.

What is your plan for creating healthy stable communities? How do you envision enlivening vacant commercial and city owned spaces?

I believe that we need to create more affordable housing for artists. We need to ensure that our most vulnerable populations that have roots and have lived in this city should be protected. We can enliven vacant commercial and city owned spaces by transforming them into artists and performance spaces that incorporate greenery and sustainability.

What do you foresee is the role of creative economies in supporting economic recovery in New York City particularly for communities most affected by environmental, housing, and health instability due to COVID including our aging, immigrant, and working class communities of color?

Prioritizing the needs of creative economies is what is going to help our city recover. New York City is the home of creativity. Prioritizing our creative economies will enliven our most vulnerable communities.

What is your plan for the city’s school system and what is your vision of the role that arts in education plays?

As a special education teacher, it is vital to incorporate arts in our schools. We should continue to incorporate arts programs and arts teachers in every school in New York City.

What is your plan to address the health care needs of the city's many communities?

Our communities are healthier when our residents have access to healthcare options. It is vital to ensure that our residents can get access to affordable health care.

What are your plans for supporting incarcerated and formerly incarcerated New Yorkers?

Helping them access rehabilitative and education programs where they can receive the support they need to come back into society and learn a skill that can help them get back on their feet.
