Current Happenings

Academics

• Delivering Scientific Research Based Interventions (Wilson Reading, Lexia, TouchMath, SPIRE)
• Implementation of Professional Development and Coaching through Effective School Solutions in the area of social/emotional learning and trauma informed supports
• Continued development of ‘entry points’ and unit framework for off-grade level learners to ensure appropriate access to academic learning opportunities
• Implementation of new behavior system for BLCs
• Collaboration with Dr. Yavuz in bringing Counseling Curriculum formally to DMS

Human Capital

• Scheduling BOY Goal Setting Conferences with staff
• Attend strategy meetings with support staff teams        
• Troubleshooting CTSEDS IEP and 504 programming
• Ongoing development and training under BCBA for all new and RBTs in training        
• Ongoing support of new special education, related service, and support staff

Operations

• Participating in Admin Council and BOE meetings
• Holding weekly department meetings
• Implementation of new resources for teachers/staff
• Weekly meetings with CSDE regarding CTSEDS
• Participation in ConnCASE
• Goal Setting Meetings

Culture/Climate

• Weekly staff meetings
• Scheduling monthly breakfast for LC staff
