If your story involves the audience coding along with the story, and the coding language is either Julia, Python, or R, consider using Jupyter Notebooks. If the audience will be coding in another language, consider using a blogging platform such as Medium or LinkedIn, or video if the story will be made more impactful with demos, interviews, or narration.

For stories not involving coding, consider if the story may need to be printed at some point. If yes, consider using a slide creation platform such as Powerpoint, Google Slides, or Canva.

Stories that would benefit from additional widgets or inclusion with your organization’s web GIS will work best with ArcGIS StoryMaps. Otherwise, choose a blogging platform or video to tell your story.
