PRACTICE REGULATIONS

  1. Practice shall be permitted at designated practice areas only and at designated times.

  1. During practice rounds, only one ball shall be in play with the following exceptions:

  1. If a player misses the green with his shot to the green, he may play one additional shot.

  1. Not more than three chip shots may be played from the surrounds of the green provided such practice does not damage the course.

  1. Only one bunker shot may be played towards the green from a greenside bunker. All other bunker practice shots must be played away from the green.

  1. Only three practice putts are permitted.

  1. A player during practice may not use vehicle transportation unless authorized by the Tournament Director.

  1. In any case notwithstanding the above regulations, no additional practice strokes shall be played if the group behind is waiting to play.

  1. Practice chipping or putting on the course, in between groups on pro-am day, by players not competing in the pro-am is prohibited.

Penalty for breach of any practice regulations is (PGM:RM 200 / ADT: USD 300) and doubling up for subsequent offences.

PLAYERS MUST ENSURE THAT THE BUNKERS ARE PROPERLY RAKED PROM PRACTICE ROUNDS ONWARDS.

IT IS THE PLAYER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT NO BUNKERS ARE LEFT UNRAKED OR BADLY RAKED.

THE COLOURS OF THE FLAG THAT THE FORECADDIES USE INDICATES THE FOLLOWING:

GREEN FLAG: Ball in bound. No need to   play a provisional ball

RED FLAG:        The ball may be lost outside water hazard or OB.

 Player should play a provisional ball OR

        Wait to play due to the front group being within range.

                   YELLOW FLAG: The ball is in water hazard   or lateral water hazard

PLAY WILL BE SUSPENDED DURING

ROUND 3 (Friday 12th October 2018)

FROM 12:45 TO 14:45 hrs.

IT WILL BE A NORMAL SUSPENSION AND PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED TO FINISH THE HOLE BEING PLAYED BUT NOT TO TEE-OFF FROM THE NEXT HOLE.

PRACTICE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED DURING THE SUSPENSION. ALL PRACTICE FACILITIES WILL BE CLOSED FROM 12:45 AND WILL BE RE-OPENED FROM 14:15 hrs.

PLAY WILL BE RESUMED AT 14:45 hrs WITH ALL PLAYERS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE POSITIONS READY TO PLAY.

TRANSPORT WILL BE AVAILABLE IN FRONT OF THE GOLF REGISTRATION COUNTER AT 14:30 hrs.

SEVERAL GREENS HAVE BEEN RECENTLY ATTACKED BY A DISEASE CALLED FAIRYRINGS AND THE GREENKEEPING STAFF HAS BEEN TRYING THEIR BEST TO RECTIFY THE AREAS INVOLVED. THERE ARE SOME SMALL BARE AND BUMPY PATCHES ON SOME OF THE GREENS WHICH ARE STILL UNDER TREATMENT. THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE  IS AWARE OF THE CONDITION AND CONSIDERS THAT THESE AREAS ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE COURSE.

THEREFORE, FREE RELIEF UNDER RULE

25-1 IS NOT AVAILABLE.

PLAYERS MUST PLAY THE BALL AS IT LIES.

HOLE 7

INTERNAL OUT OF BOUNDS

When playing the 7th Hole, a ball that comes to rest on or beyond the white line/white stakes right of fairway 7 towards hole 2,

is OUT OF BOUNDS.

The out of bounds is defined by white stakes or a white line.

The white stakes are fixed when playing Hole 7 and are immovable obstructions when playing Hole 2.

PREFERRED LIES

All 4 Tournament Rounds

(10th – 13th October 2018)

A ball lying on a CLOSELY-MOWN AREA through the green may be lifted, without penalty, and cleaned. Before lifting the ball, the player MUST MARK ITS POSITION. Having lifted the ball, he must place it on a spot within ONE SCORE CARD LENGTH of and not nearer the hole than where it originally lay, that is not in a hazard and not on a putting green.

A player may place his ball only once, and it is in play when it has been placed (Rule 20-4). If the ball fails to come to rest on the spot on which it is placed, Rule 20-3d applies. If the ball when placed comes to rest on the spot on which it is placed and it subsequently moves, there is no penalty and the ball must be played at it lies, unless the provision of any other Rule apply.

If the player fails to mark the position of the ball before lifting it or moves the ball in any other manner, such as rolling it with a club, he incurs a penalty of ONE STROKE.

Note :“Closely-mown area” means any area of the course, cut to fairway height or less.

*PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULE:    Two strokes.

*If a player incurs the general penalty for a breach of this Local Rule, no additional penalty under the Local Rule is applied.”

PLAYERS’ NOTICE

WHEN DROPPING A BALL IN A DROPPING ZONE

When using a dropping zone the following provisions apply regarding the dropping and re-dropping of the ball:

  1. The player does not have to stand within the dropping zone when dropping the ball.

  1. The dropped ball must first strike a part of the course within the dropping zone.

  1.  If the dropping zone is defined by a line, the line is within the dropping zone.

  1. The dropped ball does not have to come to rest within the dropping zone.

  1. The dropped ball must be re-dropped if it rolls and comes to rest in a position covered by Rule 20-2c (i-vi).

  1. The dropped ball may roll nearer the hole than the spot where it first struck a part of the course, provided it comes to rest within two club-lengths of that spot and not into any of the positions covered by (e).

  1. Subject to the provisions of (e) and (f), the dropped ball may roll and come to rest nearer the hole than:
