June 26th to July 26th

MISSION STATEMENT:  Gonzaga Preparatory School exists to support the life of the Catholic Church in the Inland Northwest by seeking to serve all families who desire for their children Catholic education in the Jesuit tradition. Our pledge is to provide, in concert with the parents, alumni and community, an educational opportunity, which seeks to form Christian leaders spiritually, intellectually, physically and culturally.

Guided by the Gospel values of love and justice, students are challenged to fulfill their potential as lifelong learners in service to others.

PURPOSE:  Gonzaga Prep will offer an online/hybrid summer school program for students this summer. Courses focus on the development of basic skills and are designed as remediation for students who need to earn credit for core classes. The summer school program is staffed by qualified teachers and is open to current Gonzaga Prep students.

DATES:  Register Online through the link on the Prep web page until June 25th.

Registration by mail until June 22nd.

Registration at Gonzaga Prep until June 25th.

Registration must be completed by June 25th Classes begin June 26th, run for about 4 weeks ending on July 26th.

TIMES:  All classes will be online/hybrid type classes. Some classes will meet multiple times a week in the school building while others may only meet once a week. Much of the work will be completed online so a home internet connection is necessary to be successful. Meeting days will be determined by the instructor but will be within the framework of Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday each week. Meeting times, also determined by the instructor, will be between 8:00 am and 2:30pm. All classes will meet on the first day (June 26th) and the last day (July 26th) of summer school. Since July 4th is on a Wednesday, classes will not meet that day, but will meet on the 3rd and 5th of July. Information regarding specific meeting times and locations for June 26th will be available on the Prep webpage in May.

FEES:  Tuition charges are as indicated below. Class texts may be added to the basic fee of $300.00 for a class offering credit redemption.

BOOKS:  Most class texts are those used in standard classes at Gonzaga Prep. Class texts such as paperback novels can be purchased the first day of summer school (from 7:30am) at Gonzaga Prep.

ATTENDANCE: Summer school offers an opportunity to make up credit that was not successfully earned during the normal school year. Students must adhere to any attendance requirements indicated by their instructor. It is our experience that students who miss summer school meeting days are not successful. Due to meeting fewer days in the summer, each meeting day is more significant. Summer school meeting days take precedence over athletics and the coaches of Gonzaga Prep support this policy.

REGISTRATION:  For all courses, please register online using a credit card. As your payment goes through you can assume that your student is registered. In the event you can’t register online, please use the registration form that is available as a link on the Gonzaga Prep webpage as a PDF file. This may be printed and then completed and mailed to Gonzaga Prep, to the attention of Philip Randolph.
