Arkansas Next Magazines

This is a link for Arkansas Next magazines clickable digital edition on arkansasnext.com.

This resource gives parents, students and teachers information about colleges and careers in Arkansas.  They also  have the classroom activity guides online, as well as the giveaway link where students can sign up for prizes (but more importantly get more information from colleges and employers.)

Progress Reports & Learning Model Survey - IMPORTANT

We still have several students that have not submitted the following...

  • Progress Report (signed)
  • 2nd Quarter Learning Model Survey
  •  (signed)
  • Handbook Form (signed)

Bring these back to school ASAP.

If a student does not return the signed progress report and the Learning Model Survey, then a student will be expected to attend Monday-Friday (until it is returned).

Remember to Follow Protocols

As we work diligently to overcome the pandemic, it is important to rethink possible illnesses. In the past, it would be common to “tough it out” and wait a few days before going to get checked out. With COVID, it is important to be careful. At the beginning of signs, please stay home. Get it checked out through free testing. We need to work together to stop the spread.

I am proud of our students and how we wear masks, wash hands, etc. We will get through this.

What to do if someone tests positive for COVID

If you recently tested positive for COVID or if you have been recently exposed to someone who has tested positive for the virus, it is important to complete the form at the link below.

  • You will click the link on the upper left if you tested positive.
  • You will click the link on the upper right if you were exposed to someone who tested positive.

https://sites.google.com/sdale.org/ssdcovid-19reportinglinks/

Information provided on this form will be immediately shared with the district nursing staff.

Flu Shots

Paperwork for flu shots will be sent out this week during Advisory class or they can pick them up from the Health Office.  Flu shot forms are due by October 20 and the shots will be given November 2.

We are highly encouraging flu shots this year because of possible complications with COVID.

If you are a Tuesday/Thursday student, you may participate in the Flu Shot Clinic. It is important that you arrive at school around 8:45...we will work you in at the beginning of the day.

Wellness Centers

The Springdale School District offers Health Clinics at several of our schools. Please see the links below for more information:

You may also wish to carry extra water bottles and store them in your locker.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to make adjustments to our building.
