Brian Gordon- Bio

Brian joined Albany Rush in July 2020 as the Girls' Director of Coaching before being elevated to the General Manager of New York in January 2021.  On the field, he coaches the 2009G Select team, in addition to coaching and managing the UWS and UWS2 women's semi professional teams.

Prior to Rush, Brian was a full time assistant coach at UAlbany with their women's program from 2017-20.  In 2018, the team won the America East Conference Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament, and also won the Regular Season in 2019.

Before coaching at UAlbany, Brian was the assistant coach (2012-14) and then head coach (2014-17) of the Hartwick College women's program.  As the head coach, Hartwick achieved back-to-back 10 win seasons for the first time in over 20 years and qualified for the Empire 8 Play-Offs for the first time.

Originally from Scotland, Brian came to the US to play Division I soccer at UAlbany (06-07) and Hartwick (08-09).  Before that, he was a full time youth professional with St. Mirren FC in Scotland.

Brian holds coaching qualifications from the NSCAA (Advanced National Diploma), USSF (D License), Scottish FA (Level 3) and the World Football Academy.
