St. Savio Mat. Hr. Sec. School functions under the auspices of St. Savio Educational Trust. The school is located in an ideal area accessible to Students in and around Velachery, a growing metropolitan city. The school has a Preschool program followed by classes I to XII, with Three groups of demand in the higher secondary course. St. Savio is a co-educational institution recognized by the government of Tamilnadu.

St. Savio was founded in the year 1987 by Mrs.Ruby Dhas, M.A., M.Ed., D.S.M., with the support of Mr. D.P. Dhas, M.A., M.Ed., M.Phil realizing the need for English medium education in this locality during the eighties.The school stands as a memorial of their son Dudley Savio Dhas. Mr.Dhas & Mrs Ruby Dhas both with 36 years of experience in teaching at various levels started the school with a vision to offer a sound liberal Christian and general education.

The school lends its hand to the poor and deserving students by taking care of their education and cash awards are introduced for toppers in the matriculation & higher sec examinations.
