Great Lakes Watershed Field Course (GLWFC) Teacher Professional Development Opportunity

Their goal is to have 10 of our teachers for this cohort come from the Upper Peninsula. There is a spot in the application for the teachers to indicate if they received the application through the EUPISD, Eastern UP MiSTEM Network, or Western UP MiSTEM. We will prioritize teachers who indicate that they received the application through one of our recruiting partners.

CS Workshops for High School & Middle School
The workshop is a nine-day professional learning series in Summer 2024, spanning five consecutive days in the summer and four days virtually during the school year. It supports new-to-CS and veteran CS teachers with the tools to implement MS & HS courses.
Who is Invited: 6th-12th grade educators

Bootstrap: Algebra 1, Bootstrap: Algebra 2, or Bootstrap: Data Science
Meaningful Math & Computer Science Integration for High School & Middle School
These five day workshop series will equip educators with the ability to implement module based math lessons that capitalize on the modern digital tools that computer science offers to support effective and efficient teaching and learning. Check out either of these workshops whether you are a math, CS, or other mainstream content educator.

The State Invention Convention Michigan Competition will be held on May 3 in Dearborn, MI at the Henry Ford Museum.

Storylines and Semiconductors (MEDC PK-8 Semiconductor Grant)
Funds to create a program to introduce WUP 4th and 6th graders to semiconductors to support the anticipated growth of the industry will be awarded.
