Funky Font

Part 1: Brain warm up ! Create your own quick font from A to Z but each letter reflects an adjectives that starts with that letter. Example create an artsy A,  brave B, cheerful C and so on! Only spend on minute on each letter as its just a brain warm up! Due Wednesday November 15th

Part2: Choose between creating a font on Fontstruct or if you are creating a themed font poster using Photoshop. Once you have picked a between Fontstruct and Photoshop you can start working by pencil to create a rough draft. Due Friday, November 17th

Part 3: Get to work ! You one week to create your font and blog post! There are 26 letters in the alphabet and you have one week to finish your good copy so  manage your time! Complete 7 letters a class and spend friday writing your post! Remember that some letters will be easier than others!

Part 4:  Write a blog post the covers the following:

• Why typography is important, give examples ( look at my lesson )
• The inspiration behind the font you made
• Images of good font and why
• Images of bad font and why
• Hyperlink to website relating to font
• YouTube video relating to font

Photoshop Font Poster

Criteria

• Must have a noticeable theme ( geometric shapes , flowers )
• Photoshop page must be 11 x 17 inches or 17 x 11 inches
• The alphabet must fill up most of the page and be centered
• Must have a colour theme of at least 4 colours, don't do too many colour as continuity is key  

 Fontstruct Font

Criteria

• Must have a noticeable theme ( geometric shapes , flowers )
• Must use 5 different shapes tools
• Must be unique and creative
• Must be able to produce readable font   

Font by hand Poster

Criteria

• Each letter must be different!
• Must be centered on paper
• Must be neat, no pencil smudges
• Must be readable
• Must be outlined in back fine point pen
