of the 9th International
Scratch Creative Programming Olympiad 2025

1 General regulations, goals and objectives of the national selection stages of the Scratch Olympiad
1.1 National selection stages of the International Scratch Creative Programming Olympiad (hereinafter - the National stages of the Scratch Olympiad) are held to support students' and teachers' initiatives in learning creative programming using the visual language Scratch and involving children and youth in innovative engineering projects.
1.2 The objectives of the National stages of the Scratch Olympiad:
1.3 The official languages of the particular National stages of the Scratch Olympiad are English and/or the state language of the country hosting a particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad.
2 Organizers of the National stages of the Scratch Olympiad
2.1 The National Operator in the particular country is responsible for the general management of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad. The National Operator of the Scratch Olympiad in the particular country is an exclusive organization, institution or individual of the particular country or their association, authorized by the Organizing committee of the Scratch Olympiad.
2.2 The particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad is held with financial, technical, informational and organizational support of the National Partners in the particular country. A National Partner of the Scratch Olympiad in the particular country is the organization, institution or individual that provides financial, technical, informational or organizational support for the national selection stage of the Scratch Olympiad in the particular country.
3 Organizing committees of the National stages of the Scratch Olympiad
3.1 The organizing committee of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad includes representatives of the particular National Operator of the Scratch Olympiad and delegates from the National Partners of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad.
3.2 The organizing committee of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad approves the road map for the preparation and holding of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad.
3.3 The organizing committee of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad considers and approves the final protocol of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad.
4 Dates, place and procedure of the National stages of the Scratch Olympiad
4.1 The National stages of the Scratch Olympiad are held in one or two rounds: without the regional rounds of the National stage of the Scratch Olympiad or with the regional rounds of the National stage of the Scratch Olympiad - at the discretion of the organizing committee of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad.
4.2 The National stages of the Scratch Olympiad are held in distance, in-person or combined format at the discretion of the organizing committee of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad.
4.3 Rules, results and other documents of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad are published on the official webpage of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad on the official website of the Scratch Olympiad creativeprogramming.org.
4.4 Acceptance of applications for participation in the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad is carried out on the official webpage of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad on the official website of the Scratch Olympiad creativeprogramming.org.
4.5 The results of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad are published in the official languages of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad on the official webpage of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad on the official website of the Scratch Olympiad creativeprogramming.org.
4.6 Participation in the National stages of the Scratch Olympiad is individual.
4.7 If preliminary regional rounds of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad are held, winners of preliminary regional rounds of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad are allowed to participate in the national round of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad.
4.8 Participants from countries which do not have their own National stages of the Scratch Olympiad participate in the Consolidated national stage of the Scratch Olympiad on the same conditions as the participants of the National stages of the Scratch Olympiad in their countries. The organization and holding of the Consolidated national stage of the Scratch Olympiad is carried out by the Organizing committee of the Scratch Olympiad.
4.9 Dates of the National stages of the Scratch Olympiad 2025:
5 Participants of the National stages of the Scratch Olympiad
Schoolchildren from the age of 7 as well as students of pedagogical specialties and teachers from the particular country of the National stage of the Scratch Olympiad, as well as citizens of this country who are temporarily abroad can take part in the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad. The age of the participant is considered to be the one participant has on July 31, 2025.
6 Disciplines and nominations of the National stages of the Scratch Olympiad
6.1 National stages of the Scratch Olympiad are held in two disciplines:
6.2 The projects of the participants in the discipline "Scratch" can be done on MIT Scratch or on RobboScratch.
6.3 The projects of the participants in the discipline "RobboScratch" should be done on RobboScratch.
6.4 Detailed information about MIT Scratch is available on scratch.mit.edu.
6.5 Detailed information about RobboScratch is available on www.robbo.world/apps.
6.6 Detailed information on ROBBO mobile robots and ROBBO digital labs is available on www.robbo.world/products.
6.7 Within each discipline of the National stages of the Scratch Olympiad participants are distributed by nominations according to their age. Each nomination has its own task and its own definition of results. Detailed conditions of the Scratch Olympiad nominations are determined by a unified rules of the National stages of the Scratch Olympiad.
7 Competent professional jury
7.1 Evaluation of the projects of the participants of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad is entrusted to a professional competent jury of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad, which includes Experts of the Scratch Olympiad. An Expert of the Scratch Olympiad is a person authorized by the Organizing committee of the Scratch Olympiad to evaluate the projects of the participants of the Scratch Olympiad. Each Expert of the Scratch Olympiad undergoes annual training and certification holded by the Organizing committee of the Scratch Olympiad.
7.2 The organizing committee of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad selects the jury members from among certified Experts of the Scratch Olympiad and organizes the work of the jury of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad.
7.3 The organizing committee of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad delegates at least 3 Experts from the jury of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad to the jury of the final stage of the Scratch Olympiad.
8 Results of the National stages of the Scratch Olympiad and awarding ceremony
8.1 All participants of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad who have applied for participation in the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad in full compliance with the requirements of the rules of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad receive electronic certificates of participation in the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad.
8.2 The winners of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad are determined separately in each nomination.
8.3 The winners of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad receive electronic diplomas of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad, as well as memorable prizes from the organizers and partners of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad - at the discretion of the organizing committee of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad.
8.4 The authors of the best projects according to the results of the particular National stage are allowed to participate in the final stage of the Scratch Olympiad as part of the national team of the particular country in their age-corresponding nominations of the final stage of the Scratch Olympiad.
9 Terms of funding
9.1 The particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad is held at the own expense of the organizers of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad, the funds of the partners of the particular National stage of the Scratch Olympiad and other income.
9.2 Participation in the National stages of the Scratch Olympiad is free.
