BTC will always try to provide financial support to those struggling with rent or other housing costs.
However, since our funds are community provided, we might not always be able to help in the long-term.
Luckily, there are other organizations in the area that might be able to provide such assistance.
Also, don’t forget that the BTC Discord server has a #housing channel specifically for posting about open apartments, looking for roommates, etc.
W/REST Collective: Will provide legal assistance on a sliding scale for handling eviction cases, landlord-tenant law, and housing discrimination.
TransHoming Project: This project aims to provide temporary and permanent housing to minorities who are fleeing red states in the US.
Idaho Treasure Valley LGBT+ Facebook group: for posting general LGBT+ topics, but a good place to post about and look for open apartments, rooms, and roommates.
Queer Housing Boise Facebook Group: private group, so you have to ask to join; posts are those looking for housing and also those with available houses/apartments/rooms.
Jesse Tree: Jesse Tree provides financial assistance coupled with case management to households at risk of eviction and homelessness who are being evicted.
CATCH: Non-profit focused on preventing homelessness for families with children. Provides emergency rental assistance.
LEAP: Non-profit that connects people with temporary housing, low-income housing, and rental assistance.
Boise Pride Pages Housing: Realtors, lenders, property management companies, and more.
LGBT Plus Homes: Directory of realtors that are members of the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance, one of the nation’s largest LGBTQ+ trade organizations.
