I have not previously served on the MCC Board of Directors.

How many years have you been part of the MCC community?

I have been part of the MCC community since its inception. Over the years, I have

consistently attended Jummah prayers and

participated in various community events. My two children are actively involved in MCC programs—one has been enrolled in the Arabic class for the past two years, and the other attends Sunday School, where I

volunteer each week. I am also an active

member of the committees for the masjid’s

Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, where I am the training chair and Unit Commissioner. I have also served on Zaytuna College's audit committee in its first few years, and I understand the challenges of growing educational institutions.

What do you enjoy most about MCC?

MCC has been a place where I can connect

with a diverse and vibrant community, deepen my understanding of Islam, and learn about different cultures worldwide. I cherish growing spiritually and socially in such an inclusive environment.

What do you think can be improved about MCC?

MCC should focus on expanding its

physical space, facilities, and operational

capabilities to serve our growing community better. In particular, there is a critical

need for a K-5 school to meet the educational demands of our younger generation. This would provide a valuable resource for families and help nurture the next generation of leaders in our community.

What kind of positive impact will you bring to MCC?

With my background as a partner at PwC and a qualified chartered accountant, I bring valuable skills in strategic planning, project management, and financial oversight. My experience working with youth through the masjid’s Cub and Boy Scouts programs has further strengthened my commitment to engaging with and supporting young people in our community. I am confident that my professional expertise and hands-on experience with community-building initiatives will allow me to make a meaningful impact at MCC.
