Database backup

Before any manipulation and before updating the system, it is preferable to make a forced backup of the database. To do this, follow these steps :

  1. Go in the ‘’Sugarheld’’ application on the tablet;
  2. Go to the configurations at the top right (CFG);
  3. At the bottom of the page, click on ‘’Transfer’’
  4. Choose ‘’Share via file’’;
  5. Select ‘’GMAIL’’ to send the backup file to a valid email address (you can use tablet GMAIL). This will ensure that the backup file will always be available in your mailbox. If something happens (example: you lose the tablet, it falls into the sap tank or breaks, etc.), it is easy to take back the backup file and get the whole system back by simply uploading the file. We do not lose the names of the sensors, their locations, the automation, the satellite map and all the rest. 

Modification in the local Sugarheld application

If it has not already been done, you must do the annual update of Sugarheld application.

*Note that if you are currently running version V2.0.22, then you’ll have to keep this app and do the migration manually. Also note that there are no future updates nor bugfixes for older tablets. Please consider upgrading your hardware.

To update the Sugarheld application, make sure that your tablet is connected to an Internet network to be able to proceed with the update.

When opening the tablet, an automatic message should ask you to update to version V2.1.9_0. Click yes and do all the requested steps.

In order to confirm that you have the latest version, you can verify yourself by clicking on CFG (top right) and then looking at the version number (V2.1.9_0). If necessary, click on “Check for updates”

 

Next, you have to program the tablet so that it is synchronized with the Webapp 3.0 platform :

  1. Click on ‘’CFG’’ (configuration) ;
  2. Click on ‘’Online folder selector’’;
  3. Choose ‘’Rest’’ and click on ‘’OK’’.

  

Next, you need to point the Android app to the H2O server.

 Online folder modification

  1.  In CFG (top right), click on “Online folder”. You need to change the server address to this one: cloud.smartrekh2o.com
  1. If you were using the web 3.0 platform during the 2022 season, the following information should not change. If this is your first season with the web-based system, please enter the following information: 

Port : 443

User name : Email address (GMAIL) of the tablet

User password : the password linked to the GMAIL address of the tablet

 

  1. Click ‘’OK’’ to confirm.

 

Web platform 3.0 modification

New URL address (web page address) à app3.smartrekh2o.com

This change in the web page address (URL) means that your icon (web application) on your cellphone is no longer good, you must get rid of the PURPLE icon.

Download the new web platform according to your device:

Computer: open a web browser (such as Google Chrome for example). Manually enter the following address in the search bar: app3.smartrekh2o.com

 - You can bookmark the website for faster searching.

Android cellphone : open Google Chrome browser. Manually enter the following address in the search bar: app3.smartrekh2o.com

 - Your Android cell will offer you “install Smartrek App 3.0” to create an icon on your cellphone.

iPhone cellphone : open Safari browser. Manually enter the following address in the search bar: app3.smartrekh2o.com
