The residents of the 96th Legislative District have an amazing opportunity in this election year. While we’re grateful for state Rep. Mike Sturla’s years of service, the district has an experienced public servant ready to assume that very seat — Nikki Rivera.
Nikki is well-known to Manheim Township voters, having been elected to the Manheim Township School District school board twice, after initially being appointed to fill a vacancy.
For those in other parts of the 96th Legislative District, let me introduce Nikki. She is a high school Spanish teacher, mother of five, president of the Manheim Township school board and vice president of the Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 board.
Nikki is an adamant supporter of public education, making every child feel welcomed, fair funding, affordable housing, reduced health care costs and reproductive rights.
Nikki has demonstrated incomparable leadership skills in her role on the school board. She has led the board through the challenging times of the pandemic and navigated the efforts by some to ban books and marginalize students. She does so by intentionally always seeking to understand others’ points of view.
Again, we have an experienced community leader, well known for her thoroughness and hard work, seeking to be elected in the 96th District. Join me in voting for Nikki Rivera.
