2025 SRAA Registration Instructions

April 1-10, 2025

Go to Regatta Central’s website (www.regattacentral.com). Check that all of your athletes who might compete at the SRAA Regatta are on the roster and that waivers have been signed.

• If you do NOT have a user account with Regatta Central, set up a new account and import your Roster.

Deadline -Lightweight Certification to compete in the 2024 SRAA Championship

Go to https://www.sraa.net/lightweights.html for Lightweight Rules and Form; as well as Weigh-In Rules.

Questions regarding lightweights should be sent to lightweight@sraa.net.

Submission deadline for Rosters is Tuesday, April 15, 2025.  The drop-dead deadline for Roster submission is Monday, May 12, 2025 at 11:59pm. Those schools submitting their rosters after the April 15th deadline and before the May 12th drop-dead deadline will be subject to a $50 Administrative Late Fee payable when submitting their roster. Schools who have not submitted their Master Roster by the May 12th deadline, may not compete at the SRAA® Championship.

Schools Without Qualifying Regattas

(If you have a qualifying regatta skip to next section )

April 10-May 13, 2025

Schools without qualifying regattas may Petition for At-Large Bids.

• Early acceptance may be given to schools that are traveling from the west coast.

• Those schools meeting the requirements for consideration of early acceptance will be notified on a rolling basis.

• Acceptance of an At-Large Bid must be completed within 48 hours of notification.

Payment is expected at time of acceptance.

• The deadline to petition for one of the At-Large Bids is Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 5pm EDT.

• All decisions on petitions will be made by Wednesday, May 14, 2025. At that time, all petitioners will be notified via email from Regatta Central indicating their status:

Accepted, Waitlisted or Denied.

• DO NOT ENTER A LIGHTWEIGHT BOAT WITH ATHLETES WHO HAVE NOT BEEN CERTIFIED BY THE APRIL 15, 2025 DEADLINE

To Petition for one of the At-Large Bids:

• Log on to Regatta Central and select the Register option for the event in which you want to petition.  Then on the next page, click on the “submit application” button.

• The Petitioner MUST provide a short paragraph justifying the petition entry; include

previous results and as much detail as they believe will help the Petition Committee in determining the Boat’s qualifications.

• Without supporting evidence, the petition will not be considered.

May 14, 2025

A subcommittee of the SRAA Board of Directors will consider petitions as they are received; priority will be given to competitive teams that do not participate in one of the qualifying regattas. Again, schools will be notified by email No Later Than Wednesday, May 14, 2025 whether their petition has been Accepted, Waitlisted, or Denied.

May 16, 2025

Schools who receive notice on Wednesday May 14, 2025, must accept the petitioned bid and make payment on Regatta Central No Later Than Friday May 16, 2025 at 11:59PM EDT.

If payment is not received by this deadline, a $100 late fee will be assessed for each entry.

May 19, 2025

If payment of the entry plus late fee are not received by Monday, May 19, 2025 at 11:59PM EDT, the slot will be forfeited and offered to the first waitlisted entry.

Lineups are due No Later Than 11:59PM EDT, Monday May 19, 2025.

Schools With Qualifying Regattas

Schools will only be eligible to enter boats on Regatta Central once they have qualified.

Please take note of the following instructions:

• DO NOT PETITION A QUALIFIED BOAT FOR AN AT-LARGE BID.
• DO NOT ENTER A LIGHTWEIGHT BOAT WITH ATHLETES WHO HAVE NOT BEEN CERTIFIED BY THE APRIL 15, 2025 DEADLINE
• A SCHOOL MAY ONLY QUALIFY ONE BOAT PER EVENT CATEGORY.
• YOU MAY NOT PETITION FOR AN AT-LARGE BID UNTIL AFTER YOUR QUALIFYING REGATTA HAS BEEN COMPLETED.
• QUALIFIED BOATS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON REGATTA CENTRAL AFTER 12(noon)  EDT ON THE MONDAY AFTER YOUR QUALIFYING REGATTA.
• SRAA® WILL FOLLOW THE 50% SUBSTITUTION RULE.  THE CREW’S LINEUP THAT QUALIFIED THE BOAT FOR THE SRAA® CHAMPIONSHIP CAN ONLY SUBSTITUTE UP TO  50% OF THE LINEUP THAT RACES AT THE of the SRAA® CHAMPIONSHIP.
• SRAA® DOES NOT ALLOW B BOATS AT THE CHAMPIONSHIP.  ONLY ONE ENTRY FROM EACH SCHOOL IN EACH EVENT.
• IF YOU DID NOT QUALIFY, YOU MAY PETITION FOR ONE OF THE AT-LARGE BIDS.
• DEADLINE FOR PETITIONING IS NO LATER THAN 5PM EDT, TUESDAY, May 13, 2025.

May 13, 2025

After 11:59 pm EDT on Monday, May 12, 2025, all UNREGISTERED qualified boats will be removed from Regatta Central and their slots become At-Large Bids.

After this deadline you will have to petition to be considered for an At-Large Bid. The deadline for petitioning is No Later Than 5 pm EDT, Tuesday May 13, 2025.

SUNDAY NIGHT OF YOUR QUALIFYING REGATTA WEEKEND:

The Qualifier Representative is responsible for reporting official event results to Deb at Charles River Timing (info@regattatiming.com) No Later Than 11:59PM EDT on Sunday of the regatta weekend.

● NOTE: Only crews who actually qualify may fill the bids from each Qualifying

Regatta. If one of the Automatic Bid slots is not filled by the qualifying crew, that Bid

will be moved into the “At-Large Bids” where all crews may petition for that slot.

Example: GV8 - if a crew did not place in the top 4 in their final; they may not

fill one of the automatic bid slots.

● If the Qualifier Results and bid information are not received from the Qualifier

Representative by the posted deadline, the automatic bids may be added to the “At-Large Bids”. Schools will then have to petition each boat to be included in the Championship.

The deadline to Petition an Entry is No Later than 5pm EDT, Tuesday May 14, 2025.

● Charles River Timing will authorize entry in Regatta Central and schools will be able to accept their bids and make payment by credit card.

● After 12pm (noon) EDT on the Monday following your qualified regatta, you may log into Regatta Central and populate your qualified boats.

● If you do not see your entries on the date listed below, please contact Deb at CharlesRiver Timing (deb@regattatiming.com).

● DEADLINE to accept your Automatic Bid and complete the entry process at RegattaCentral is by 11:59PM EDT on Monday May 13, 2025. Payment of entries is due at the time of accepting bids.

CHAMPIONSHIP REGATTAS

Petitioning for At-Large Bids for Schools with a Qualifying Regatta

Schools with qualifying regattas may petition for an At-Large Bid beginning the Tuesday following their qualifying regatta.

Schools must submit their Petition No Later Than 5PM EDT Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

REMINDER: Do not submit a Petition for a Qualified Boat.

To Petition for one of the At-Large Bids

• Log on to Regatta Central and select the Petition option for the event in which you want to petition.

• The Petitioner MUST provide a short paragraph justifying the petition entry; include

previous results and as much detail as they believe will help the Petition Committee in determining the Boat’s qualifications.

PAYMENT

Purchase Orders/Checks are NOT accepted for payment. You must pay by Credit Card on Regatta Central.

For Crews who earned an Automatic Bid:

● Payment is expected at the time of accepting your Automatic Bid, due No Later Than 11:59PM EDT Friday May 16, 2025. 

For Crews who petition for an At-Large Bid:

● Payment is expected at the time of accepting your Petitioned Bid, due No Later Than 11:59PM EDT Friday May 16, 2025.

Credit Cards are accepted on Regatta Central.

If payment is not received by 11:59PM EDT on Friday, May 16, 2025, a late fee of $100 per entry will be assessed.

If payment and the Late Fee for each entry is not received by 11:59PM EDT on Monday, May 19, 2025, those entries will be scratched and not allowed to Race

NO CREW WILL RACE WITHOUT PAYMENT IN FULL.

Entry Fees (new for 2025)

There is no longer a formal TEAM CHECK-IN process at the venue. SRAA will have a Board Member on site Thursday afternoon and Friday morning to answer questions.

Chronological Deadlines

March 15, 2025

● Qualifying Regattas must submit to SRAA the name of a Qualifier

Representative to serve in the capacity of notifying Charles River Timing of the

results of their Qualifying Regatta and who has accepted their bid to compete at

SRAA. (Results must be submitted No Later Than 11:59PM EDT ON SUNDAY

NIGHT OF YOUR QUALIFYING REGATTA WEEKEND)

April 1, 2025

● Charles River Timing will reach out to the Qualifier Representative from each

Qualifying Regatta to provide them with instructions for submission of results.

April 10, 2025

● Schools without a Qualifying Regatta may begin to Petition for an At-Large Bid

April 15, 2025

● Deadline - Lightweight Certification is due to SRAA 

● Deadline - SRAA Team Rosters Due.  Please use the Universal Roster Form posted on the Website.  All rosters received after April 15 but before May 12 will be subject to a $50 administrative late fee payable at the time of submitting the roster.

May 12, 2025, 11:59PM EDT

● Deadline for all Qualified Boats to Complete the Entry Process on Regatta Central

and make Payment - if schools miss this deadline, they will have to go through the petition process for one of the At-Large Bids

●  Deadline - Drop-dead deadline for Roster submission.  All rosters must be submitted before May 12 at 11:59 pm; no rosters will be accepted after this date/time
