Medieval History for Middle School (6th through 8th grade)

Course Description: In this course students will learn about King Richard, King Arthur, Saladin, Queen Eleanor, Joan of Arc and many others. We will use a combination of literature from Beautiful Feet books and short stories, from a variety of sources, to learn about all of these people. Students will explore all the fascinating facts from this time period including castles, knights and cathedrals. The Middle Ages was a very busy time full of change. Brilliant minds lived between the years 400 and 1522, the years that are covered in this study. We use multiple learning styles to encourage analysis and discussion of this time period. We will also discuss what we can learn from this time and how its history relates to current times.
